Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Been down on the Helford this morning with the neighbours doing a bit of foraging. Not for myself though. Don't think I could face the mussel cleaning in the freezing water we have at the moment. Might get frostbite. There were good pickings today so you never know, I may get presented with a few mussels later in the week duly cleansed and prepped. ;) The neighbours brother seems up for the task. He was in his element today plodding through the shallows in his newly purchased wellies. He was brought up around here so it took him back 45 years. Decided to walk back home, which is about 2 miles, the first of which is decidedly uphill. So it was good exercise. The first 200m is very steep but I can definitely feel myself getting fitter. Took a few pictures which I'll get around to posting later.

Not too upset about last night. I didn't expect us to get past the quarters but was happy with the performance we put up. I think France will win this now and we gave them a run for their money. I think we have a very good group of young players, probably only Walker and Henderson and possibly Maguire won't be around for the next world cup, I know Southgate has 2 years left on his contract but I'd like to see a new manager in place now. Picking Henderson did it for me. Plus I think Maddison has been the best and most consistent English player in the Premier League over the last 12 months, and he didn't even get a kick during the whole tournament.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy your Sunday, or what's left of it.
