Ah Aigburth remember playing footie for the Aigburth arms back in the day, also played for the metal box I’m sure Fred had a beer in the social club back in the day

Did use to go to Woolton back in the day the Grapes, Coffee house baby Elephant and finish going up the stairs to the Squires, ah the good old days

They were all regular haunts of mine. We also used to go to The Coach and Horses, The Black Bull and one with The Bear in its name. Some of them might have been in Gateacre.

Hello everybody. How's tricks? Sorry about your mum @roydo hope she makes a speedy recovery and also has a lovely evening. @Billy Dean loads of mince pies on sale - I bought some last week Tesco finest, they were half price. Really lovely - would recommend.

I think I've sorted Christmas We are going to Liverpool on Boxing Day, son and his girlfriend are also travelling from Nottingham to meet us there so we can see all the family, including my brother who will be visiting from Australia. Mr F threw a huge spanner in the works because he hasn't booked any time off - absolute divvy. @Barnfred 55 Don't know if you are travelling to Liverpool over Christmas but the Travelodge at Aigburth is only £50.

Car goes in for its MOT tomorrow. Wish me luck, I'm not confident.

Always try a local bakery for them first mate, always nicer mince pies in my opinion.

Morning all, really miserable weather rain here and forecast all day. Yesterday my friend showed me a clip of her grandsons playing a video game which had been sent to her by her DIL. Eldest who is seven was telling his brother, five, how to play. ”You have to pick two teams so your good one can be ”Tottenham” and your rubbish one can be “Everton”, out of the mouths….

Haven't been invited anywhere for Christmas yet Anj, but I think it's highly unlikely I'll be coming up to Liverpool for the festivities.

Last couple of times I've been up I've stayed at the Travelodge in Speke. The facilities are better there, has great bus links and it's been about 25% cheaper. I know the Aigburth one is ideally placed for visiting your dad though

Morning all, another gloomy day, yesterday’s fog has now turned to rain. Hope all is well with @fandjango and @Terrarian. Glad you are feeling better @Armaghtoffee, take it easy but by the sound of it you don’t have much choice. Enjoying a cup of tea in bed at 6.30 and received a call from grandchild no. 3 who was making a card for her gt grandparents wedding anniversary. She wanted to know long they had been married, so could I look it up for her on the internet, sometimes FaceTime can be a wonderful thing, other times it’s a pain in the rear end. lol. It is 65 years by the way.

Morning all, I'm ok not up to much, finally got a new fridge in, didn't overly miss it really, obviously i prefer milk to coffee mate and I like marg or butter on my bread other than that it's been easy really, although miss yoghurt and cheese.

Hope everyone is good. I am still in the process of increasing my anti psychotics, currently taking 200mg a night and still don't feel like it is doing much, barely even makes me drowsy.

On the football, getting a bit concerned things are getting a bit flat. I think the team are better than they are showing at the minute but if this group of coaches can't get them firing, who the hell could. I really really want Lampard to be a success so i hope we turn the corner after the break.
