Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this dark and wet day here in Hyvinkää I hope all had a good night especially the AT family .Have a great day all.
Thanks blue. I don’t recommend this virus at all as it’s still winning! I will take things very slowly this week and remain isolated for a while yet. I won’t complain though, I have my own room with Sky and a bookcase and also an en-suite. The more I work through this I think of how many people simply couldn’t isolate from family and then it of course ran riot. The stress of waiting for others to get it must have been awful.

Look after yourselves. Hope you are all much better soon.?

Morning all, another cloudy day here. The model railway exhibition was very good, some very impressive layouts. Mr. G. was so taken with the N. gauge displays he thought he may start a new hobby, possibly setting a layout on a coffee table - until he found out the cost of landscaping etc. and that was before buying the rolling stock. lol
Have a good day all. ?

I remember seeing an anouncement in an upmarket newspaper "A baby brother for ******and a new train set for Dad "

Good afternoon all. Hope you are having a lovely weekend. @Armaghtoffee hope you are starting to feel a bit better. I've heard a few people say that vivid dreams were a symptom of COVID. @Barnfred 55 no sympathy whatsoever. I'm sure you could prise the blonde away from the toyboy if you tried - a man of your sparkling wit and personality. No competition! ?
I did overtime, went to the gym in the middle of it. Sweaty Saturday cardio session then a PT session. I'm knackered, got my pjs on already. Mr F is very excited because it's the Breeders Cup tonight. His favourite race meeting of the year. I'm being kind and letting him watch it all even though some of it clashes with the Everton match. He also wants to have an American themed tea to match the occasion- burgers and hot dogs it is! We've also got waffles ice cream and maple syrup.
It's freezing here today. We've had the heating on nearly all day.
Morning all, cloudy morning here, reflecting the mood after yesterday. I think we got what we deserved but not going to dwell on it. Hope you are feeling better today @Armaghtoffee. How’s things @Terrarian, hope that you are coping ok with the meds. Can’t believe you gave in that easily, @Barnfred 55 you should have turned on the Terry Thomas charm, you would have been irresistible lol. I’m off to a model railway exhibition this morning, I just can’t keep away from trains at the moment, have a good day all. Choo choo ??
Ha ha. Thanks ladies. Just a bit of fun but it does you no harm to massage your own ego from time to time. I'm actually the same age as her father. lol

Callum is actually a nice lad. I think she said he is 6 years younger than her so that would make him around 25. But he really is the typical blonde adonis. He works on the super yachts too and I bet he spends half his time fighting off the attentions of the female passengers. Probably keeps him fitter than a Saturday cardio session Anj.;)

We have finished watching "The walk in " and I have taken a few days to digest it ,growing up in those times when it was everywhere the hatred / dislike for anyone unlike themselves .
I was influenced by a joiner who worked at the place I served my apprenticeship "We signed to be in by 9pm , those were the days"he was from Jamaica and great fella ,good joiner and a steady kind of bloke .He was about 15 years older than me and I didn't know his kids although they lived just a few streets away .So I am glad to say that the hatred never saw light of day with me but I was still shocked by the series . The thing that stuck in my craw was that there are more prossecutions for white terrorism than any other .
Now we are almost at the end of "This England " and that has me wound up tighter than a clock spring on a Sunday night. No spoilers but both worth a watch .
I watched the first episode of that Blue but haven't seen it since. I enjoyed the one I saw so need to catch up. Obviously racism is still a big issue now, but I agree it was on a completely different level when we were growing up in the 60s, 70s and 80s. I cringe at some of the things I heard and saw, including at every football match I went to. Haven't watched This England yet, but it's also on my list. The politicians lacked leadership and the senior civil service and health officials made wrong calls consistently over the first few months, and of course each one they made probably resulted in thousands more deaths. I'm sure the findings in the public enquiry are going to be absolutely brutal.

Did you finish Bulletproof mate?. I actually watched the first series again after you mentioned it. I'd forgotten how much of that was filmed in Liverpool, although obviously set in London. Ashley Waters is also in a series called Top Boy, a hard hitting but violent drama about youth gangs in London. If you can find it on your TV Gizmo it's very very good. It's not a comfortable watch though plus there's 4 seasons.

What are the symptoms mate? Like a heavy cold or more flu like?

had a heavy cold when I was up in Liverpool in the summer, but had 2 negative tests. But 1 of my mates tested positive and the other wasn't even ill.

So what you're saying H is that he's still just a big kid really. lol

I enjoyed top boy too. Haven't seen the original series though, only the new ones.

Added a new dish to my inventory last night, my take on penne arrabiata but using chorizo, which of course is Spanish. It was very tasty though I may have made it a bit hot even for my tastes. Maybe the fresh chillies and hot smoked paprika were enough heat, without throwing in the extra shakes of chipotle sauce. lol Deffo making it again though.

Having the neighbours around for tea this week whilst their kids are away on their cruise. I'm cooking Chinese for them, my special fried rice, strange taste chicken and mangetout in oyster sauce. I'll be toning down the heat a bit but hopefully they'll like it. We'll probably watch a DVD afterwards. Hope that turns out better than the other week.lol
