Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Lots of sleep and rest combined with lots of fluids. Don't rush back to work etc. as you need to get over the fatigue.
I’m finding it hard to sleep as I’m tossing and turning with really vivid stressful dreams. However when I am watching something on TV I nod off every 20 mins for a few mins. It’s strange.

I need to get my fluid intake up as I am dehydrated now on top of it all.

Remember Guiness is good for you ,lots of iron and tastes good . Get well soon and be careful.

Back from the cemetery so a couple of photos .This is the area around the wife's parents stoneView attachment 189643
Looks so well cared for. Our parish church relinquished the upkeep of the graveyard to the local council. The grass round the stones is cut and strimmed about every two months but parts are overgrown where hedges and bushes have run riot. Gravestones are falling over and due to lack of rainfall the soil is shrinking and some of the graves are collapsing. It’s very sad.

As I said there is a fee for the upkeep and it is then whether the family ( If there is any ) want to keep visiting .Otherwise they remove the remains and re-use the plot .
It seems a bit heartless in a country with lots of open land but it is not so simple as the land is in use in one way or another .
There are not to my knowledge any derelict sites any where in Southern Finland ,sadly there are abondoned towns and villages up north as the exodus brings people south .
You can buy a three bedroom house for very little probably under a 10000€ if you look but there will be no shops for miles and maybe no neighbours either.

Even in these austere times, I would think it wouldn’t take much concerted local pressure to force the council into taking their responsibilities to the Graveyard seriously.

Why the exodus to the south of Finland blue? In my head I always had Finland as a rich country and I can’t believe the price of the house in the link you posted.

Suffering a bit today. Actually that's a bit of an understatement.

Was invited around to the neighbours last night. The sister in law is over from South Africa for some medical tests, and it was her birthday yesterday. The good news was that her daughter came to visit. She is the fit blonde I had my arm around in the recent pic I posted from my cruise. The bad news was that she had her boyfriend in tow. Actually it's more toy boy than boyfriend. She is 31 and he looks about 18. It was quite funny the way he followed her around all night like a little lap dog.

Jealous? Moi? lol lol

Similar thing happened to me. Would keep nodding off in front of the TV in a kind of half sleep and having the weirdest random thoughts going through my head

Lovely house and so much space, dread to think what something like that would cost round here, a three bedroomed semi would set you back about £300k, but all amenities shops, hospital, schools, trains etc are within easy distance. Swings and roundabouts, I suppose.
