Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this apprehensive day today , it could have gone better yesterday and I respect the view that there is more to life but I am in despair at the thought of relegation and have no idea what it would be like if it happens .
Before we got a bliionaire owner I posted on NSNO that we should beware what we wish for ,this man has caused so much angst and he can of course just walk away .I cannot believe our luck .
I know some might have different views but no Siggy ,no Davies and virtually no DCL then all the really wrong decisions ,it seems the gods are against us this season .COYB
I hope all have a great day and our mood can be lifted this afternoon.

Managed about 4 hours sleep but wide awake now - please Everton look after your fans.

Nice to see Katie Taylor won - I met her briefly in passing at Amsterdam airport as she was on her way back from the Beijing Olympics. She is lovely and I am delighted for her. Just read that she took 200 punches from Serrano - holy moly

What is your download speed ?
Yesterday it was 16Mbps my niece had 67 I pay £50 she pays £23ish proper crap

Morning on this dreary sunday, a loss today and I think it's bye bye Premier League, Burnley have a new manager bounce and we seem to be the only club that didn't really, that's how far gone morale and confidence was. Anyway, it is what it is, I will still be supporting next season regardless because you can't just turn it off can you no matter how much you want to at times lol

Sitting here watching the snooker, it's nearly 9 o'clock, and it's still fairly light outside. I so love the light nights.
I'm very mood dependant, if I'm feeling good light nights are great, if I'm not feeling good, I prefer dark nights and shutting the curtains as early as possible so i don't have to deal with the outside world. Dear me, how did I end up like this ffs.

Although in my defence, I've lived a few places where there's been a lot of anti-social behaviour which isn't as bad during the winter but summer has all the bums dossing outside until later. You'd be shocked at some of the hassle I've had with very young kids and even middle aged women, some people really do think they can do what they like and sod everyone else.

UTFT COYB We can do this, sending PMA

It's Everton isn't it.
Been a great weekend up until today but you just know that it will turn out to be a miserable day , if it's not and these lot remember how to play football then happy days!
Anyway , it has rained , not heavily but reasonably persistently , overnight - the first rain for 23 days!
Blue I have no idea what on earth is happening with he who can't be mentioned. In all my time in the law I've never known anyone to be on police bail for so long. Seems like the same thing is happening with Greenwood at Man U - I don't get it. They either have enough evidence to charge or they don't. Futher evidence isn't going to materialise in cases like this. It's not like you are waiting for an assualt victim to wake up out of a coma.
However that apart ( injuries always happen in football ) we have been the authors of our own misfortune. Yeah we've had some bad refereing decisions ( I suspect all teams apart from the RS have ) but ultimately it is a littany of terrible managerial appointments and terrible recruitment that has brought us to our knees.
I try to forget about football and concentrate on things that I have some control over.
Hope everyone has a great day , I truly do.

Didn't see it but helluva fight apparently .

Enjoy your day BR.

In previous posts you said how feisty and strong Irish women were . Having married a redhead Mulrooney I can attest to that !

I don't want to think about the R word, so doing my best to be positive over it today. I don't have any faith in this group to be honest but what can we do.

It's peeing down today so don't think we'll be going anywhere special today, just a nice chill walk(well as chill at it can get whilst walking the canine dustbin lol)
and then back to watch the football, I've not watched the last 3 games properly as I've not been great but today is important day in our history and not in a good way.

In Finland 1st of May is a special day and we celebrate with certain foods but first it is a glass of sparkling wine .View attachment 164012
May 1st is a special day down here in Cornwall too Blue. Although historically Cornwall has been a very religious county, it has also been hugely influenced by paganism. Many local communities communities hold festivities to celebrate Mayday, the most famous of which are the obby oss in Padstow and the furry dance in Helston, which your son may have been to. To those local communities it is often more important than Christmas.

It’s no good once it’s started to flower - the leaves get really bitter. Catch it early though and it’s amazing. I usually take the kids out and pick a load but I did my back in at peak picking time this year and missed it. Drove past a load of flowering stuff today. Gutted!
Thanks for the heads up Brett. The wild garlic down here is well in flower as you can see from my pic. I think Blue 1948 would have had me lying in the gutter lol

I don't have Sky anyway Jazz but I don't think I'll follow the game either. I'll just catch up on the final score through here. Nothing I do will affect the result so it's just my way of dealing with the stress. I'll be watching the snooker final today. If it lives up to the quality shown in both of the semi finals it will be something special.

That's the spirit Mr T, positivity about the place. OK Burnley won which was a mini disaster but Leeds were humped 4-0 and have a bad run in,. Our fate is still in our hands and we have to keep the faith.

Any way, good morning folks, I'm now back home, didn't get back until 4 am from the hols so a little groggy. I shall watch the old firm to warm up for our game, wouldn't like to predict a result, depends which Everton turn up.

Obviously hope it's a good day for us all, A loss at home isn't worth thinking about, I honestly think that could set the place off.

I got IPTV just in time for it, not sure that's a good thing, shouldn't be this stressful watching football but you sink a good portion of your life into it don't you.
