Never got as far SW as Cornwall or Devon but definitely on my bucket list. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Somerset a few years ago - Bristol, Wells, Bath, Cheddar Glastonbury, all so interesting

Ha ha. No. Barney and Freddy were the names of pet dogs from my youth.

Cal used to call Jenny Agutter slutguts. lol Probably referring to the fact that her clothes didn't stay on very long during films.

It probably hasn't changed much since then. Not the town anyway. Lots of new property going up on the outskirts.

Here's tonight effort mate. I assure you underneath all the onion and tomato gravy there is a piece if steak.

I know it won't win any awards for presentation but it more than makes up for it in taste.

In walking distance most are on the Helford and quite stoney, but great for swimming. However Maenporth is a sandy beach, also about a mile away but on the coast. I'll go there next time.

Cornwall itself has over a 100 beaches most of them beautiful sandy beaches. I'll see if I can find some pics in this phone.

How did we get on. Purposely avoided seeing the score in the hope it brought us luck. Is my superstitious paranoia misplaced?
