Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Bet it felt a bit weird. Not in a horrid way, but in a way I reckon you know what I am about. But another one of those private milestones addressed or passed or whatever.

I ventured into the local that Nik and I actually met in a few weeks ago. Probs wont go back for a while.

In cheerier news, front and back mowed today, and the back is slowly starting to look less like a bombsite and more like an orchard. And got some blokes coming round soon to clear the bottom of the rear. Half a tennis court, chock full of brambles and nettles and general neglect.
Baby steps mate. I'm getting there.

I found out on the local news channel last week that she lives on The Lizzard peninsular, literally about 10 miles away from me as the crow flies. I had no idea. And Kate Bush lives less than 2 miles away. My 2 wet dreams from my teens. Who'd have thought?
Wow. Listen, I am really sorry to read that you lost your wife. We have our difficult times, and I know I am often to blame , but she is a rock. I probably don't deserve her.

If you see Jenny tell her she has a huge fan in Kilkenny!

I am 57 next month DV - we have both suffered as Evertonians and it goes on :)

Mrs BR and I are 30 years on 11 July DV. Been through a lot, all four parents gone. Plenty of ups and downs but thankfully hanging in together - one wonderful daughter. She is a joy to us.
How lovely. Mr F and I celebrate 31 years in October.

Had a lovely afternoon. Having seen Gwladys"s pics yesterday I took another walk down Carwinion woods to see if the bluebells were out and they were, in abundance. I took 3 pics but I could have taken 3 dozen. Also out were wild garlic, wild geranium and countless others I don't know the names of. Amazing the difference in 3 weeks.

Lots of friendly dogs again, all wanting to say hello, including one called Ely who decided he was going to christen my clean jeans with his muddy paws.

Decided to carry on down to the secluded beach ar the bottom if the valley. Its on the Helford River and this side of the river is a reL sun trap. Bit stoney but really good swimming. Only sorry I didn't take my swi.ming shorts and a towel. It was beautiful and seemed at warmer than the 13 C forecast.

Sat on beach for half an hour and returned via the coastal path and up past Bisloe House, a NT property where Cal used to work. This brings you back into the village from the other side, which just happens to take you past the village pub. Well after a 4 mile hile I reckon I deserved a pint of cider.

Another milestone. First time I'd been in the local on my own since Cal passed. Onwards and upwards. Sat outside and got into a conversation on football with 2 guys, one a Rangers fan and the other United. Say no more. Anyway could have stayed and chatted but I was making my braised steak for tea which takes over 2 hours to cook.

Said steak is now in the oven and I'm sitting out in the back having a cold beer and catching the last of the sun before it disappears over the horizon.

Not going to follow the game tonight. Well it worked against United?
Bless you. Big milestone for you Fred. Much love x

Everyone happy with that line up ?

Mina in for Keane and Gray for DCL.

Forgive me Sassy but I will be holding my breath that Mina doesn't go off injured again.

Equally apologise to Anj but DCL has been as much use as a chocolate fireguard this season.
Nothing to forgive, I just posted a similar post on his thread. I love him so much but he is made of glass.

@Barnfred 55 hey mate can you send me the recipe for the braised steak, I think you did put it up a while ago but no idea where,

You can message it me thanks
Here it is in case he hasn’t messaged you yet.

How are you feeling about the line up? I personally like it.
