Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning. It looks like a decent day here- a bit windy but no rain. Chris and Sophie are visiting so we are going to go to Durham for look around. That will probably include lunch and a visit to the Cathedral. I'll take some pics for you. It is stunning - some parts are over 1000 years old.
I haven't watched any of the World Cup yet- most of the matches are way past my bedtime!
Have a lovely weekend everybody s

Mrs bl and I are debating how to cope with Scotland’s 2am kick off. An afternoon nap seems extravagant and unnecessary, going to bed early for a few hours may just work . Monday is officially a bank holiday in Scotland , though it’s unclear just how many organisations are observing it.

Looking forward to the photos .I watch the highlights on Hoofoot.com if it is of any interest

Good morning all on this murky one here ,I hope all had a good night and wake to a super day today . Just pottering going on here nothing of any note ,we have watched " Falling " a series where a priest meets a nun and what happens to them both ,I found it thought provoking and for me it seemed to answer some of the obvious and not so obvious questions ,it is six episodes and I did enjoy it as it is not the love story you might imagine .
Paapa Esiedu played a really believable part that included an ability that he deserves a lot of credit for but I suspect he must have needed it earlier in life .
Have a great day all .
I was thinking of giving that a go myself. The reviews are good.

Had a good day in King’s Lynn. Couldn’t resist stopping to watch a wedding and as I stood there I wondered what life will be like in 50 years when they celebrate their Golden Wedding (ours is coming up soon) should they be lucky enough. @anjelikaferrett love the pics. they brought back lovely memories of our trips there, it’s such a wonderful place.
Despite my stated lack of interest, I’ve still watched three World Cup games and watching Qatar and Switzerland at the moment, not sure whether I’ll make the Scotland game although I’m a terrible sleeper so there’s a chance I’ll be awake. My friend’s cousin runs a World Cup prediction competition for family and friends, 3 points for a correct score, 1 for a result, I currently occupy the bottom slot , I’ve yet to gain a point , still as they say it’s a marathon etc.
