Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi all just to say that DIL’s Mum passed away in the early hours of the morning at home where she wished to be.💙

There’s never really words to express sympathy or sorrow when someone passes away. As long as the family and friends support each other and keep alive memories of the deceased they’ll get through this…I’ve had to express my sympathy to two lots of friends who lost fathers on Thursday and Friday this week, both expected, but really all you can do is try to help them through it. I’m sure your DiL will be well supported……..

Good morning all on this overcast day here .I hope all are well after a good night.Well you have to say the VAR are inventive ,thye manage to find new ways of circumventing the rules . When Tarks scored they looked at 4 different " incidents " before they allowed the goal ,yesterday they only considered the ref's comment that he thought maguire had fouled ,when that was cleared they didn't show the ref the pull back " because it was not what the penalty was awarded for " . They can't have Moyes winning manager of the month and us being foir points ahead of Utd .
Have a great day all COYB

Morning Blue and everyone else. I don’t like VAR because of the time it wastes while draining the fans emotions. However some you win, some you lose, even though it sometimes looks biased towards certain teams. Anyway, have a great day everyone and enjoy our post-Dyche position in the league…….

Morning everyone,

First day of spring yesterday? Well it felt like it anyway gardening in just a T shirt and shorts and getting the first grass cut of the year in.

Disgusting VAR decision yet again but what do we expect playing against a scab 6 club. On "top 6" clubs I wonder when that will become "top 15" to accommodate United. What a mess of a club and team they are. We really should have finished them off in the first half.

Rosie's a clever dog. She has now worked out if she rattles the garden gate enough it will open so I put a bolt on it.

At the bottom of the garden next to the cemetery we have a section with a large pond and summerhouse . We keep the dogs out of it in case their barking offends anyone visiting the cemetery or there is a burial taking place. However yesterday I must have left the bolt off and Rosie who has always viewed the forbidden land with envy opened the gate and proceeded to do 30 zoomies around the pond with a look of ecstasy on her little face .

She was so tired that she slept all evening, perhaps we should let her in there more.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning all. It's been a busy old weekend- so much so that Everton were quite a low priority. We've been helping our daughter move some of her stuff into her new house. Same again this morning. I can't believe that in about a week's time Mr F and I will be empty nesters! I'm really excited for her but I'll miss her. Having said that she's only about 20 minutes walk away - once we get moved.
Looks like we were robbed yesterday but, from everything I read afterwards, we should have been 3 or 4 up at half time so perhaps we only have ourselves to blame- which does not excuse the shockingly bad decision.
Yesterday was really warm, it was like a proper spring day. Today is cold, wet and windy. Winter is back.
I need to talk to you about mattresses. I was gobsmacked when two mattresses my daughter had ordered arrived packed in cardboard tubes. They had been vacuum packed, rolled up and were flat as pancakes. Once we opened the plastic they puffed up to normal size. However the instructions said she had to allow them to recover for 72 hours. I've no idea why I was so impressed with this situation but I was- it certainly made getting them upstairs easy. I think I've reached that age where a rolled up mattress impresses me greatly- I need to get out more! Have a lovely day x

A rolled up vacuum packed mattress is a new one on me.

Enjoy the space
