Was a massive fan of Skynyrd growing up and saw them at The Empire a couple of months before the crash. Have to confess though that I'd never heard of Rickey Medlocke and had to google him.

Can I just add that your barmaid lookalike is a lot easier on the eye than old Rickey.

Me too, I loved the early Skynyrd stuff. I don’t know if you’ve watched Billions the Tv series, each episode is peppered with quick fire references to groups, films, sportsmen etc , they come so fast you can’t keep up and are often obscure. I’ve been watching the latest series with Mrs b and explaining some references. A couple of episodes ago Axe,one of the leading characters in the past , explained why he wouldn’t be going back with something like .. “ Jacksonville’s finest summed it all up , for I must be travelling on now….and this bird you cannot change” . It was an unexpected mental shock , couldn’t help exclaiming “ Wow, he’s referencing Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd “ … she was totally unimpressed .

Try again with the avocado - Mr P has grown one from a stone it’s nearly two years old. We’ve had to just cut the top off to bring it indoors this year for winter - it’s 8 feet tall - I’ll try and upload a pic.

Not yet, having read up on it it’s unlikely in this climate and it usually takes a good few years. Apparently they grow massive so my husband’s cut the top 6” off it to see if it will grow thicker rather than taller. Trouble is if it goes much bigger we’ve no space for it over winter

Yep , final Series now of 7 I think , it’s been excellent over the years, Damian Lewis stars in it.
