Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

If everyone is fit I see Garner as a bench player.

I hope he plays 433 or if he insists on 5 at the back 532.

We simply have to play 3 in midfield in which case it it should be Gana , Onana and Iwobi in midfield either way.

A 2nd choice midfield of Garner , Allan and Doucoure is stronger than last season's starting midfield.

Only problem is scoring goals!

If we play 442 ( can't see it) then presumably the 4 would be McNeil or Iwobi , Gana , Onana ,Gordon.
I actually forgot about McNeil.

Hi all, so sad to see Sassy go, I will miss her quirkiness, optimism and kind heart. Been for blood test this morning, just routine. Our surgery has expanded from the front room of the doctor’s house (my Nan first registered as a patient when she married 1919) to a full on medical centre with 7 zones for consultations, a endoscopy and colonoscopy unit and ultra sound. It’s massive but was nearly empty at 9 this morning, staff outnumbered the patients. Their website encourages online consultations which makes me think that the all the modernisations, some as recent as 2 years ago, were a waste of money. @Barnfred 55 No the door wasn’t brown lol, have a great time, we’re there with you for any “moments “ and Cal is too. Good luck with the market stall @jazzy, I’ll miss the match too as we’re at son’s dog sitting and he doesn’t have BT, I’ll record it and decide whether to watch later. May listen to a bit of the “totally biased” commentary depending on how it’s going. Was hoping for another striker in the transfer window but it’s Everton, I’m doomed to be disappointed! Gosh, I’ve rambled on a bit today. Have a good one, everybody.?

Not much craic on tankers, like. Either in and out of port sharpish on product carriers or tied up to a buoy miles out to sea. One one supertanker, I got ashore once in 4 months. If you don't click with your watchmates, it's a long lonely time. I keep thinking the Chinese was something like Jimmy's or some other first name but it's over 40 years ago so could be completely wrong.
Don't know how anyone could stick it out on tankers or containers. I only ever went general cargo, tanker lads often had haunted eyes.

Hi Everyone .

I'm afraid that the message above ^ is the last one we will see from Sassy.

I've just received an email from Sassy ( I helped her with her resume / CV and job application ) telling me that she has received a permanent ban from GOT and asking me to pass on her very best wishes to each and every one of you.

If anyone wants the details of why then please feel free to DM me.

I've asked if I have her permission to pass on her email address to any of you and await her reply so please don't be offended if you ask for it and I can't give it .

Really sad day.

Shocked at this tbh and haven’t a clue why. Sassy was always good humoured from what I’ve seen, but no idea what’s been going on in the background. A real shame….

Hello all, hope you all have a good weekend. A lot of dog chat recently it seems. I've been doing some research into getting one recently but alas it seems my current life circumstances are not really suitable for it. Oh well, I guess things will slow down at some point in the next few years which will make it easier to get one.

Very happy personally with our transfer window. Would've liked one more attacking player but I think we've improved the squad overall.

Hello all. Hope you are all well. I'm OK with the transfer window. A new striker would have been good but they seem to be hard to come by. I'm thinking that Iwobi might play in a umber 10 type role bridging the gap between the striker(s) and the midfield. I see Gomes has gone, that's a shame on the eye candy front and he seemed such a nice person (I told you I'd be a crap manager. It would all be down to impressive hair and if you were an alright person. Jack Grealish would never get in my team)

I have to share my shopping experience this morning. I was in Home Bargain this morning - always buy cat food and cleaning products in there. Way cheaper than Tesco. It wasn't crowded, there was an elderly lady shopping with another person, possibly a relative or maybe a carer. The elderly lady clearly had some form of learning disability. My first encounter was as I was browsing the cat food I heard "Oi, oI, oi" quite loud from the next aisle. the elderly lady had lost her companion who shouted back, from not far away "I'm here" Anyway I get to the check out and the pair are in front of me. It becomes obvious that they are regular customers, the checkout operator greets elderly lady with "Hello Becky, how are you today" Becky has loads of those mini toiletries and is insisting on paying for them one at a time. The checkout operator has the patience of a saint and takes the money for each item, is charming and friendly throughout. When it came to my turn she apologised for the delay. I said I was in no hurry and to be honest her kindness and how lovely she was had made my day. Which it had- restored my faith in human nature.

I'm doing gym and overtime in the morning. I reckon I've times it right to finish by 12.15 so I can watch the match. I have bought beer - Desperados seemed appropriate (also an excellent song by The Eagles)

Glad you're having a good time @Barnfred 55 If you have any "moments" go with them. Don't bottle anything up. I'm sure Cal is om board with you.

Have a great day all x

Your story of the checkout lady is going to stay with me. Random acts of kindness like that do make you reflect on your own approach to people.

I can't remember who said it on here a couple of weeks ago that we need to remember that the world is full of good decent people. I think sometimes that gets lost in all the bad things we hear about. My checkout lady was definitely one of the good folk.
