Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good evening friends. Glad to read everyone, except for T’s drainage issue, seem to have had a nice Saturday. Mine has been good too. Enjoyed a great evening with the ladies last night and we were all able to speak our minds regarding the SC decision so that was relieving. This morning Sofia had a music performance at the the rock music camp that she has been attending this week, they performed 4 songs which I found impressive to have learned in just 5 days. She got invited to sleepover to one of her good friends house (whose mom I was hanging out with last night) so the hubby and I have the night off and we are on our way to a friend’s 50th birthday party. It is a Latin party so I know there is going to be plenty of good food, alcohol, music and lots of dancing ? ? which means a very entertaining night ahead ?

Buena noche amigos y amigas. You all have a beautiful Sunday! Xxx

Good morning all on another hot one here , I have pondered moving south in the past but the truth is I couldn't bear the constant heat. I once spent a month in Calahonda whilst my b-i-l went to Mexico .It was just as much as I could take .
I hope all had a great night and @Terrarian had a good one .
I made a set of wind chimes from old tent tubes last year and they blew off /down in the winter so today's job is to hang them more securely .
It was very interesting to make them in tune -just to make you all nod off again- the holes through the pipes have to be 22.2% the the length of the pipe to be in tune and each pipe needs to be a specific length ,I remember one was 922.3 mm .The set I made was 6 tubes and the notes of the Westminster chime .Of course it doesn't play that tune as the wind dictates which notes are played and the order but it is a very pleasant if what loud sound .

Have a great day all and I hope @Terrarian has a weight off his mind .

Morning everyone ,

What a night of music at Glasto last night.

Sorry @Barnfred 55 that Celeste ain't your cup of tea - I thought she was fantastic. Mrs J liked her too which is remarkable.

But , Macca , OMG! Yes his voice is going a bit but boy can he still put on a show and for his age he is absolutely incredible . Showed more stamina than the whole of our midfield put together. Mrs J - who as you may recall isn't a fan - gave it an hour and conceded that he was good.

So, off to Christine Cummins ( local sculptor and ceramic artist ) today as she is having an open day.

Sister in law coming with us and she loves our garden so Mrs J has cracked the whip and I've got an early start today to cut the grass and knock it into shape.

@Terrarian hope you are feeling better
@Armaghtoffee good luck with the big game

Have a lovely day everyone

I presume that North Carolina is one of the States that will now make abortion illegal - conservative and Republican ?

I didn't dislike Celeste Jazz. I did watch most of her performance once I came across it. She has a very nice voice which perfectly suits her music style. It's just I prefer my festival music a bit more upbeat. I could easily listen to her when I'm in chill out mode though.

Also, I know I'm going against the general concensus with Maccas performance last night, and you know I'm a massive fan, but I felt a little bit cheated tbh. Not so much by the deterioration in his voice, albeit sad to see, but rather by his song selection. He could have bowed out with the greatest ever Glastonbury performance singing back to back songs that everybody knew every single word to, and could have done so for a whole day if he'd wanted. But a good third of that show was taken up with stuff penned more recently. Great for a normal Macca concert but not for Glasto imo.

Having said that, it was an astonishing performance for an 80 year old, and thought he looked younger than The Boss. Sorry Anj?.

Great to see so much Abbey Road material too. A truly brilliant and oft overlooked album.

I’ve not been around the forum much but he used to post here and he hasn’t in a while. We are missing a few friends so let’s send a warm greeting to @Toast @Methuselah @larbert toffee ?
Hi thank you for the mention Sassy I'm watching from afar, don't always have the time to pop in and comment as I would like to but always hoping my friends on here are happy.
Was out yesterday at our local Chinese restaurant for lunch then into our local pub with family and friends, there until the bell then out at Brother in law's until about 4, excuse the shaky typing ?
