Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

American ownership does tend to lead to disaster for English clubs.

All we can reasonably say is that Moshiri likely has made it known he is open to sale.
2 words I fear , leveraged buyout.

They could just load debt onto the club like the Glazers and the Burnley model.

As you say , we have to hope that others throw their hats into the ring.

Others are saying that Richard Keyes has been saying for ages that Moshiri has been looking to sell in the Middle East.

£500 m seems low too me.

A sale now with Bramley Moore so close would suggest to me that the new buyer would be looking a quick sale on completion of the ground. To maximise their profits in such a short time wouldn’t lead to much investment in the team and that worries me given how last year went.

Good evening everybody. Hope you have all had a lovely day. I've had a very productive work day. Had my annual appraisal with the boss. Then got rid of one of my most complex referrals so the decision making skills have been fully tested today. At the same time the carpet fitters were in, fitting the new stairs and landing carpet. It looks lovely. Together with some of the other GOT ladies, I've been stalking DCL's Instagram. Some very lovely videos of him working out.

Bit concerned about rumours of a sale. Not entirely sure what Moshiri's motive is. Is it tied in with Usmanov being sanctioned? Not keen on American owners but there could be far worse. It also makes me worry about Frank - hope any new owners don't want their won guy in. We'd just be starting over...again. But I thhink I've jumped about 17 steps ahead there!

Hello friends. Busy day and a late night for a Monday, but my older brother who is visiting from Colombia has been staying at our house since last week so when I’m out of work we been spending time with him which I love but doesn’t leave time for much else after a busy work day. Plus when I got to bed this late during the week then it is hard to wake up by 5:30 am to go to the gym. All this to say that while I didn’t post any messages I read all of your post throughout the day and I can’t go to bed before commenting one the news about the possible sale by Moshiri. How rubbish of him to want to drop the Peoples Club. Hadn’t he apologised to the fans just a couple of weeks ago? What a farce. Frank definitely doesn’t need this uncertainty as he begins putting together his team. And while American billionaires are not ideal. We can all agree that they would be much better than Saudi investors, we don’t want our players bodies to end up in plastic bags mutilated after a bad row of matches ?

This week Asheville it is going to feel like the lowlands. Today we reach 30°C and the rest of the week it is going to be 33°C or higher. Thankfully the hubby installed time water sprinklers to water my vegetable garden as it is going to need more water than usual this week.

Have a great Tuesday everyone. Xxx

Happy for you that the new carpet looks lovely. Little changes that make our places of living nicer for us to enjoy.

Ange, since you already told on us ;) I’m going to go ahead and confess that I may have a crush on DCLs dad. I like his mature looks ?

Anyone know Noah I need to borrow his ark, we had really bad flooding in 2013, hopefully it’s not repeated….

Heavy rains are expected to continue to melt the higher-than-usual mountain snowpack, increasing flow rates and water levels in several rivers, prompting the province to issue several flood advisories across southern and central Alberta. Environment Canada issued a rainfall warningSunday, estimating Calgary and nearby mountainous regions will see 75 to 125 millimetres of rain by Wednesday morning, with localized amounts as high as 150 mm.

That sounds like an awful amount of rain. I hope you and your family managed to stay safe and dry.

100%.. our club needs stability as much as it’s needs injection and I want to see Frank be given time… I’m not reading between the lines yet on this one.. could just be someone looking for somewhere to flex and not Mosh looking to go. Either way never overly been a fan of Kenyon. One can’t say Mosh has a pass mark (with regard the team) but hopefully he has learnt from his mistakes.

All these Billionaires are dirty sassy , it's just a question of degree.

It is interesting that apparently the "right and proper person test " and "country ownership " are on the agenda of the PL AGM.

Under the "right and propoer person test " the PL are looking to outlaw leveraged financed deals and insist that there are proper gearings ( ie that if an owner is buying for sat £500m that he or she puts in at least £250 of their own money and only allow them to borrow 50% - which as Fred will know is how a lot of people seek finance in the country from the bank to fund projects ) and to also outlaw the Man City model where a State has complete ownership of a club.

Obviously City and United will vote against but you only need 14 to vote in favour.

Good morning mascpoteers on this splendid sunny day in Finland. A bit late getting up this morning and therefore a late arrical here .I hope all slept as well as I did !

Forgive me blue , but apart from some trees , what are we looking at ? Sorry if I'm being a bit thick. ( I can't see any cat BTW)

Morning friends ,

Well , what a strange time to be an Evertonian.

After the euphoria of escaping relegation , we were faced with a summer of selling to try to balance the books , losing our best player because we've squandered almost 1/2 billion pounds on dross.

Then , perhaps unsurprisingly , we learn that Moshiri wants out and is prepared to sell to Americans with close ties to Trump's mate Steve Bannon. Who knows what their motivation is but is sure isn't because they sat in the Upper Bullens for 30 years cheering on Reidy and Bracewell.

And , even if they come in without loading debt onto the club they can't invest in the squad anyway becuase of the losses that we've made over the last 3 years.

What a crazy , bonkers club we support.

Have a lovely day , I'm off to Aldi to save a few quid.
