In my opinion, what separates him from the rest, apart from all the obvious is his decision making and execution when it matters. You see it in every game where even the top players are through and make the wrong decision. Think it was van de Beek last night at 1-0 should have played it across for a tap in, Jesus at the weekend, Rakitic tonight and Dembele at the end, they all choose the wrong decision or execute poorly at the vital moment.

Messi just rarely does that. He chooses the most efficient option so often and it's amazing to watch.
 

Classic from Barca tonight, sucked them in second half and did what the RS usually do to teams. Destroyed them on the break.Messi was incredible.
