Naturally, its difficult to discuss race quota employment without mentioning the police as its common knowledge that the Police have an issue with BME employment.
Most would be surprised to hear that compared to the national average - BME are equally represented (8%) and BME officers can expect faster promotion in literally every police department than non BME officers, the latter point some would argue suggests reverse discrimination in action. For me it just demonstrates how political correctness can go mad. In saying that, it would be foolish to suggest there is no racism in the police, though as the police represent a cross section of society, sadly thats expected. Some of society are always going to be racist - It doesn't call for race quotas. Quotas solve nothing.
For me, all race quotas do is discriminate - no discrimation is good, all it does is draw a dividing line. The more the line thickens, the more support you'll get for the likes of the BNP. "Them and us"
