Difficult choices on the right side. Couple of months down the line this 11 could be quite a bit different depending on how new the signings get on, apart from CF's of course as Liverpool havnt got any.

Get out of my head you weirdo.

Gibson over Gerrard based on the last year or so, like. And Sahin could be potentially world class as RUFUS said - I'm glad they've only got him on loan.

The contentious one in their is Sterling but unfortunately I think the kid is going to be very, very good in the not too distant future and the only other options are Coleman, Osman and Mirallas - who I haven't seen enough of yet.

Also, I'm being very, very generous to Liverpool in that eleven. Distin could easily be in, and Gerrard is only in based on past exploits. You could make a case for Suarez being the only one who would definitely be in a Merseyside XI.

Wouldn't trust either Reina or Howard unequivocally, but when they're both at their best Reina's the better of the two.

Kelly just inches out Hibbo at right back. I don't think I'd be able to relax watching a side with Glen Johnson at right back. Both teams have good center halves so picking a pair is difficult. I think Skrtel and Heitinga could be a good combination. Baines walks into this side.

Gibson and Allen are similar players, and I love DG4, but I think Allen's passing range is a little more expansive. This would be important next to Fellaini whose occasionally outstanding passing is mainly confined to short range. Lucas is a good player like but Marouane's a destroyer with a lot more to his game. He'd start for any side in the league. Gerrard only turns up for England these days, it seems.

I hope Naismith and Mirallas change my mind by the end of the year, but at this point I don't think we've got a player who plays wide right with the same potential that Sterling seems to have, and his inclusion adds pace to an eleven otherwise lacking in it. And yes I know he's played wide left for them mainly so far but he is right footed (I think). If Pienaar didn't walk into this side already (which he does) then having Baines at left back makes him the obvious choice. After watching Liverpool's last two games I thought about Shelvey as a superior option to Suarez behind the striker, but for the time being you'd have to say the diving, cheating, shoulder-biting, not-a-racist is the better player on his day.

Nobody else on Merseyside slots like Jelavic, nor has anybody since Torres' prime. His inclusion is a no-brainer.

Shame about the 6-to-5 predominance of RS players, but that'd be my XI if I was managing Everpool. Reckon they'd trouble the top 4 with a bit of luck.

GK - Howard (They're both gash but reina has made so many clangers in the last year, whilst howard has scored)
LB - Baines
CB - Agger
CB - Jags (could be any of our 3 whom i rate over skrtel who has made to blunders already this season)
RB - Johnson (could be replaced by kelly, but haven't seen enough of the lad)
LM - Pienaar
CM - Sahin
CM - Fellaini
RM - Mirallas
CF - Suarez
CF - Jelavic

that's the team based on talent, of course sahin and mirallas could be flops but they have more talent than the otehr candidates. if it was one up front i would choose jelavic all day long, your striker is there to score goals and suarez doesn't do that consitantly enough

GK - Howard (Reina looks shot this season and 2nd half of last season)
LB - Baines (obviously)
CB - Distin
CB - Heitinga (these two have the best understanding of all the centre back pairings)
RB -Coleman (the rest arent above average, who knows maybe coleman will be)
LM - Pienaar
CM - Allen (looks potentially top class)
CM - Fellaini (is top class)
RM - Mirallas (should be on the right for us, cutting inside with dribbles)
CF - Suarez (it was him or Anichebe)
CF - Jelavic

GK - Reina
LB - Baines
CB - Skrtel
CB - Jagielka
RB - Johnson
LM - Pienaar
CM - Gerrard
CM - Fellaini
RM - Mirallas
CF - Saurez
CF - Jelavic
