Reina
Kelly Skrtel Heitinga Baines
Allen Fellaini
Sterling Suarez Pienaar
Jelavic
Wouldn't trust either Reina or Howard unequivocally, but when they're both at their best Reina's the better of the two.
Kelly just inches out Hibbo at right back. I don't think I'd be able to relax watching a side with Glen Johnson at right back. Both teams have good center halves so picking a pair is difficult. I think Skrtel and Heitinga could be a good combination. Baines walks into this side.
Gibson and Allen are similar players, and I love DG4, but I think Allen's passing range is a little more expansive. This would be important next to Fellaini whose occasionally outstanding passing is mainly confined to short range. Lucas is a good player like but Marouane's a destroyer with a lot more to his game. He'd start for any side in the league. Gerrard only turns up for England these days, it seems.
I hope Naismith and Mirallas change my mind by the end of the year, but at this point I don't think we've got a player who plays wide right with the same potential that Sterling seems to have, and his inclusion adds pace to an eleven otherwise lacking in it. And yes I know he's played wide left for them mainly so far but he is right footed (I think). If Pienaar didn't walk into this side already (which he does) then having Baines at left back makes him the obvious choice. After watching Liverpool's last two games I thought about Shelvey as a superior option to Suarez behind the striker, but for the time being you'd have to say the diving, cheating, shoulder-biting, not-a-racist is the better player on his day.
Nobody else on Merseyside slots like Jelavic, nor has anybody since Torres' prime. His inclusion is a no-brainer.
Shame about the 6-to-5 predominance of RS players, but that'd be my XI if I was managing Everpool. Reckon they'd trouble the top 4 with a bit of luck.
