My German mate, who incidentally came through the Hamburg system with a certain Mr Janelt who now plays for Brentford, told me that Röhl would take a lot of adapting to the league and we shouldn't expect much at all from him this season.

Yep, just wasn't involved at all. Formally of Alcaraz's faults, as soon as he went off we were a lot less effective in those little pockets.

Is that fixed or number of games? Villa had one on Harvey Elliott and that deal would be triggered at 10 games but they gave up on him in October and he hasn't made the bench for them since.

He won't be getting sent back, some tit at Everton decided to agree on an obligation to buy for 17m regardless if he plays or doesn’t play. The only way he gets sent back is if we get relegated.

Haven’t heard anything mentioned along those lines mate. You would like to think though that there would be some sort of clause attached to that obligation to buy. Saying that we are talking about Everton here.

Idk how we've gone from loads of people massively overhyping Merlin after him playing about 20 minutes of football for us - to loads of people deciding he's definitely rubbish and a waste of time and money after him playing about 50 minutes for us.

People want us to sign young development players, they just don't want to actually have to watch them play and develop.

That shouldnt be a problem. Relegated i mean. With the Burnley level of football Everton isnt safe.
