Unless they are willing to sell for like 15 million then they can do one. You can't pay that amount for someone, have them flop and then demand that someone else buy them for a stupid amount like you did.

A loan would be great but if they don't budge them let them spend another 6 months wages on him. Their loss really as he's not getting into the team.

...Mourinho said there is zero chance of him going because no team has met their valuation and they won't entertain a loan deal. I wonder if that puts an end to it for us because during a loan we could evaluate the character as well as the player. It would almost be a risk assessment, an expensive purchase given what's happened at United could be too risky.

It might also explain why RK appears to have done a U turn over Deulofeu. This one could be dead.

From what I understand they have priced a lot of French and Italian clubs out the market for him due to United's insistence on getting most of their money back.

I reckon come the end of the transfer window united will be a little more flexible on the terms as you said he will have to stay on the books with years to run on his contract so expect him to leave for an 'undisclosed fee' in the last week of the window.

Just wish I won't be us....don't rate him

Think you're right.

I'd welcome him here on loan as he's definitely talented but he's a big risk as he's not yet adapted to the premier league at all. If we were going to spend 25 million or whatever on a winger then I'd rather it be on someone else. People moan about Bolasie but he'd at least proven himself in the league.

It seems people would loan him first. Which is very sensible.

But they don't want that. Fair enough.

So somebody will have to crack. Or they'll still be paying for a player they have no intention of using.

I think I'd be willing to take a 20m punt on him. As it stands when he's on form this lad is class. In our current situation we couldn't attract someone of his ability and age especially without European football. We have to take risks, a bit like Man City with Robinho

Agree with this. Depay has talent and has never really been given a chance at united. Plus we where okay pi**ing £28m up the wall with Bolassie.

When has he been "class"? In Holland. Where Dirk Kuyt is still banging in 20 goals a season.

I can't say I've ever seen him until he signed for the mancs and only seen him a handful of times then. I've heard all the chatter that this kid was supposed to be class with star potential before his move to the mancs.

So what I ask is this, if he was up for sale before he'd gone to the mancs for 25m I'm assuming everyone would be tripping over themselves to sign him yeah?

So maybe utd just isn't a good fit, it happens. So if they ain't gonna loan him yet we've got the chance to sign the player for let's say 20m, surely it's a no brainer if he's got all the talent like everyone said. Sure he dresses like a tit but it's what he does on the pitch that's important

We've learned that lesson.

Dirk Kuyt used to bang in around 15 goals a season. If we had a winger who was doing that I don't thin you'd be angry

If you watched Depay in Holland rather than making your assumptions on Wikipedia he played well. You can't assume someone's not class just because of the league their in. Banging in 30 odd goals in 40 games when you're 20 is still a great achievement in the Dutch league.

By your logic Lookman should be gash too only scoring 7 in 25 in League 1.
