Memories of Mike Walker

The fella was totally out of his depth
to be fair to him though i used to go the game in the 90's and there was no difference between the Walker era and the Smith or Kendal dross that was served up

They were bad bad times. I think fans that are of a certain age i.e. my age and only witnessed the 80's as a youngster are always appreciative of Moyes and now even Martinez.

Possibly my earliest Everton memory is me Dad coming in and waking me up to tell me - in hushed, ominous tones - that Everton didn't have a manager anymore. I was 7 years old and I thought it was mad.

Nowadays me computer password at work has to be changed every few months, so I've been working backwards through Everton's managers starting with Roberto. I'm up to Mike Walker at the moment (but with some of the letters changed to numbers, naturally).

Those are the only ways in which Mike Walker has touched my life. Titan of the game.

Also remember us getting beat 2-1 at Anfield a couple of months after Walker took charge. Watson scored to put us 1-0 up at the Anfield Road end. But while we were all there celebrating, they went down the other end and equalised.

please don't swear
Yes only lasted a few games, another one ,was are you ready for this by s club seven or someone that took its place think that was before bad moon rising

Does anyone remember for a few games after Walter Smith took over they had a bagpiper come on before the team? They quickly knocked it on the head though cos it was absolutely sh1te!! Took him about 5 minutes to get to the centre circle...talk about an anti-climax!!!

In the autobiography's I have read of that era they reckon Mike walker was lazy just sat in his office ie the promotion to a bigger club had gone to his head - He had such a good track record at Norwich, It surprised me how he nearly got us relegated, thanks Hans Sagrs for that!lol
