Media attitude towards Everton.

I doubt it and I'll give you an example. Recall when Everton finished 4th and Liverpool finished 5th under Moyes. Liverpool then won the CL the same season.

Now, according to the view that there is a 'powerful Liverpool supporting media' and that it will seize on an opportunity to further Liverpool's interests (or to damage Everton's whichever view is preferred) this would have been the perfect opportunity to screw Everton in favour of Liverpool. Yet that didn't happen.

In fact the media and the FA fought and lobbied UEFA not to try and kick-out Everton (4th) in exchange for Liverpool (5th) as the holders. Instead they lobbied for Liverpool's inclusion in the following season's competition and that it must not occur at the expense of Everton which is what the rule now states should happen. There are inconvenient things that sometimes show that media are actually not interested in one team's interests over another. There was nothing in the rules to suggest that UEFA would allow Liverpool in as a 5th team and they repeatedly said Everton must make way for Liverpool. Yet the FA refused to do this and the media backed them.
That's not how it happened at all. The rules were quite clear at the time if such a scenario were to occur the FA would decide who would qualify for the champions league, fans of every team except Liverpool wanted Everton in, at the time Arsenal and United were the Media favorites thus that agenda was pushed, Liverpool just moaned so much that UEFA allowed them into the qualifiers.

Tell me one good thing that your hatred for them has done for your life? Seriously? Have whatever view you want, but don't try and tell me that it's a better view than mine because it ain't by a long shot. When others celebrate, I join in. I enjoy spending time with my friends and will never let such negative, tribal nonsense divide me from them. It reads like some people I've heard about where couples and families have split-up because some voted remain and others voted leave. I kid you not! Unbelievable how stupid and arrogant some people are in their belief that others can't have a different opinion to them and still be good and decent. So tell me, what good has it done you?
Agree a 100% on this. Not a fan of them winning trophies though, much rather see them relegated.

Basically that.

I'd love it on Monday if they do an announcement about the planning permission and wheel out Usmanov to formally declare interest / partnership with Moshiri in both the stadium and footballing side. Heads would be melting all over the place.

I want it announced today. Presser on Monday then a surprise video of Zlatan walking the planning permission into the council offices and saying "you may approve this now"

This is gold, Everton. I should be running your PR.

The stuff on football weekly was appalling.

Think fate curruthers literally said it’s grim up north. Seem to recall her getting a bit personal about Marco silva earlier in the season as well.

And what was that rant about big dunc all about?

Don’t think I’ve ever heard a good word said about us on there. Even when we win there’s a little dig towards us.

And the MEDIA caused such a stink that agent Collina was mobilised by UEFA to rectify it at OUR expense.

Mark Lawrenson reckons that Ancelloti will struggle as he isn't a builder ( in relation to team ) but a roofer . What ever that means .
As a red he really isn't that snidey . Just a classless oaf .

Basically all this boils down to Carlo Ancelotti can't pick a player and doesn't realise it rains in the north of England.

Bizarre.

Wonder if they’ll be some sort of parade up here for the first ever Italian to set foot up north?

Quite a big deal when you think about it. Will be very hard for him to adapt to the massive difference in temperature between London, Paris, and Liverpool. Hope he’s been taking some sort of cold weather climate training to prepare himself.

To be fair, that Carruthers must know the meaning of grim every time she looks in the mirror or listens to what words come out of her mouth. Yikes.

There's no Italian community in Liverpool either. I mean, that guardian podcast said he used to go restaurants when he managed Chelsea.

I mean, I'm only from the frozen wastelands of the north so I don't know what a restaurant is but maybe we have something he'd be prepared to pretend is the same?

I'm clutching at straws. Call it all off.

I can see why they think Ancelotti won't be a fit because of previous management appointments however none of the press have a clue what Everton are up to which I have to admit is fantastic.

Our transfers should be kept under wraps especially when you think of the players we have missed out on in the past.

Regarding Ancelotti, he is a manager who has walked into perfect jobs with great squad but if the squad was that good, why did they sack their previous manager.

He turned teams around into winners that's exactly what we need. Granted we don't have a Maldini , Zidane or Ronaldo but we can at least attact better quality of player which we haven't done for decades.

Only time and money will tell if he is a good fit but finally our board has realised they have to match their ambition with the ambition at managerial level
