4chan is usually boss, but there is a fair few crazies on there. Not the first time someones posted something like that and then went and did it

'US President Barack Obama has said the United States is the only country on earth that witnesses mass shootings every few months.

Mr Obama was speaking after a gunman killed 13 people at a community college in the US state of Oregon.

20 people were wounded in the attack before the gunman was shot dead by police officers.

"Somehow this has become routine," Mr Obama said at the White House in response to the shooting by a 20-year-old gunman at Umpqua Community College in rural Roseburg.

"We can actually do something about it, but we're going to have to change our laws," Mr Obama said. "It cannot be this easy for somebody who wants to inflict harm on other people to get his or her hands on a gun."

Mr Obama said "we've become numb to this" as he angrily repeated that gun laws in the US need to be changed.'

Syria, Iraq for starters? Plus the vast majority of gun murders are done by people using illegally held guns.

Was it right to ban all English clubs from Europe because of one set of fans behaviour?
Aside from the fact that it WASNT really one set of fans' behaviour (that final terrible incident was just the tipping point) it is FAR from one disturbed individual causing these deaths. (Also, no one is seriously suggesting an outlawing of guns in the US, but just that restrictions should be tighter than they currently are.

One mass shooting A WEEK since Sandy Hook. How is that not the end of the argument?!

UK had ONE mass shooting and it prompted law changes - since then, there hasn't been another.

And yes maybe the majority of total gun deaths are caused by people who own guns illegally (I don't know if this is true, but I'll cede the point). So just because we can't eliminate the problem of gun deaths ALTOGETHER, means we shouldn't even try to lessen it?

So you're really comfortable with the US being closer in this regard to Syria and Iraq than to the likes of UK, Australia, France, Germany, Canada etc??

I seriously think that gun laws need revision.
I can't see them going for a ban , but perhaps a partial ban, ie have to be 21 to buy a gun and hold a gun license in the same way that the sale of alcohol is restricted. Also introducing more regular renewal of gun licenses and mandatory psych tests as a part of attaining that renewal.
