Yeah I know, just hate this time of year. Everyone says it will be different to last year and we're talikng to that many people I start anticipating a call about my boy who plays under 10's.

Then we watch the space and wait for it ......... nothing

Theres a lad whos claiming to be IAMTHEYAK knocking around cyber space, claiming the Mbia deal is done, Mouthino deal is on the way and there is a takeover in the pipline as soon as DK is sorted! Phil Green is up to his Knees in all of the above.

Guess we will see.

Caps or no caps?? That's the key!!

A proper holding player is our most important signing this summer, we can replace Carsley and sort out our right side with one signing (by allowing Neville and Arteta to be used there).

This M'Bia one is a strange case, Moyes has said his name out-loud in more than one interview, which is unusual for him, and it seems there's an endless stream of journalists lining up to listen to him talk about wanting to join us, but we never actually seem to make a firm bid. Also the Echo said about a week ago that it's 'highly unlikely' that we'll renew our interest in him.

I'd love us to sign him before I go on holiday.

Moyes is normally quiet on transfer targets isnt he?? Perhaps this is just a bluff...

He had his account password as everton apparently and some genius figured it out and started posting bs transfer rumours as if it was him

I remember that in the last transfer window or last summer?? Loads of stuff about him predicting certain transfers and always being right. Can't remember how it all played out in the end :(

CAPS!

In all honesty, this thread could easily have contained more posts than the Moutinho one. Can't really say I care what he does. If Moyes really wants him and he joins, than fine. If not so, move on.

Baines comment on the OS makes me think that we won't be seing any transfers in the near future... which might be both a blessing and a curse.

Pros for early purchases:

1. More time to mesh with the rest of the team before the season starts.
2. More calm for the manager and the squad to focus on the coming season, instead of desperately searching the market for the missing pieces.
3. Easier to get good players since the other team have a bigger chance to get a replacement in.
4. Can't be hold to ransom since the buyer have time to look at other alternatives.

Possble cons for early purchases:

1. Prices might be inflated because the other club want to get as much money as possible to fund their transfers.
2. Better players might be available later on for reduced prices when other clubs have purchased their new players and want to get rid of the players that aren't in the plans.
3. A player currently in the squad might get injured in the end of the preseason and there won't be funding left to get a replacement.

I stopped reading at that point (y)
