M'Bia Spouting Off Again

No-one to be honest tb. I would take the current squad through to jan then set up signings for then. Any signing now is likely to be a desperate signing and maybe wrong for the club

We've been after the likes of Moutinho, M'Bia and Milito for the majority of the summer. Moyes obviously sees them as the men he wants to strengthen his team, it's not like there desperate last minute choices. Obviously there's Smith and Tiago aswell who could potentially be here.

If we wait until January we'll struggle, this squad isn't good enough at the moment. We've got the Uefa cup, the FA cup, the League cup and them Prem to go at, we need bodies whether there good, average or [Poor language removed].

Give the lad a break....

he just want's to feed his family back home.
he only wants 1.2m a year...

Think he wants to feed them 5 star food in gold plates.
:D:D:DAgree, was thinking the same. Nothing wrong with wanting a pay rise. I wouldn't turn down an offer to double or triple my wages. However, using his family as an excuse seems a little bit strange to me, as he's probably on something like 10.000 GBP a week at Rennes. Now excuse me, but with that salary, i'd easily take care of my family needs. Assuming his family still lives in Cameroon, not excactly the same (high) living standard as Western Europe, I'm confident he'd not have any trouble fullfilling their needs either.:dodgy:

Ah well, just hope he'll sign for Everton, as we desperately need some new (quality) players.

he wants to use us, he says he doesnt want to go to arsenal as he would only be a bench warmer, with us, he will play every week, flourish, attract attention and move on after 2 years...arsehole, but i'd do the same

Unless were really unlucky the problems will only arise in the 2nd half of season when injuries/suspensions take hold

The team that we have at the moment isn't good enough to string 5 passes together as we saw against Blackburn. The likes of Vaughan, Cahill, Pienaar etc are still far from ready and we have a 17 year old as our ball winner.

I can't see Moyes risking not signing anyone, he won't actually.

But who's he eyeing up now? He's got money to buy some class he's just been out priced on a certain player (Moutinho). Unless Arshavin's on the cards (cut price to Spurs but I dont know how much), but he's wages are a problem. There's no one out there really -- Alonso?

But do we have money? I personally don't think we do

You didn't watch the match on Saturday? The bench was full of kids and one even started. The only thing Moyes could do to shake things up was to bring on a 16-year old kid.

Cahill, Pie man. Vic, Vaughan, all to come back and will make a big difference

Particularly Pienaar and Cahill.

A fully fit squad and a couple of decent additions should see us okay. I'm still worried about the size of it, though (the squad, that is )

Tim Cahill
- 2007-08: 18 league starts
- 2006-07: 17 league starts
- 2005-06: 32 league starts

James Vaughan
- 2007-08: 0 league starts, 8 sub apperarances
- 2006-07: 7 league starts

Both have been out injured more than available to selection. What makes you think they suddenly stay fit? And in that case we would have about two senior players on the bench (Vic and Baines/Valente). Oh, and Hibbert, which means Neville could play in midfield :(
