Because we wont meet £20million for the player. We've allegedly made a bid of upwards of £15-16million.

There are plenty of class players we could of/can buy for £16million.

I honestly cant see us blowing that much on one player when we need more than one, hence I think we've got a bit of cash.

Allegedly is the important word in your post. Anyone can go in with a way below offer knowing full well it will be rejected. Good pr for club looking like were trying to sign someone like him

Yes its an important word because we're trying to sign a player that a club want £20million for. Why throw you hat into the ring if you aint got anything to show for it? Whether we wont pay £20million or not, we still would have to place a figure on the table anywhere between £10-£20million. Those figures can buy you other players.

Its also terrible PR for the club. Reinforces we cant compete, we cant sign world class players, we're skint, and will cause fan uproar.

Good man. I wouldn't touch Tiago with a pole. M'Bia is different however. There's a touch of the Essien's about him. He may be after the big bucks, but isn't everyone?

Worst thing ive ever seen a player in a blue shirt do, well not football wise, u know what i mean.

To be fair to the lad, I think he had some kind of mental health issue. He struck me as not quite stable, which probably came across as egoism. Then again, maybe he was just a arsehole. :huh:
