M'Bia Spouting Off Again

Top man and very honest. He wants to play for a better football club, in a stronger League who will pay him better money to feed his family.

Sign him up.(y)

If he was our guy and behaving like this we'd be pissed off. It's not nice for the supporters when a player does everything he can to get away from your club. In saying that, his behaviour, although bad for a Rennes supporter, is good for us. He's basically making it near impossible for Rennes to keep him. It looks like this one might come off. Let's hope he's worth it!

I've said it before, the lad sound like he's got a massive ego.

He'll probably belong at Arsenal to be honest, and be best mates with Gallas -- another big headed tit.

(NB - bet we sign him lol)

David Moyes won't entertain signing this fella if his mindset and attitude are questionable, regardless of his ability.

Prepare for more doom and gloom on the transfer front.

I just don't see the problem personally. All footballers want to earn more money, thats not unusual is it. Most people want to earn more money. If someone offered me the chance to double my wages to do the same thing id take it, who wouldnt?

What is he supposed to say, I want to join Everton because my hero's Duncan Ferguson and I've been an Everton fan since boyhood. It doesn't work like that sadly, he's just being brutally honest.

As for the stepping stone, the lad has ambition, which is great. If he turns out to be a top top player and we cant match his ambition we can more than double what we paid for him. We can then spend that money on someone else good to replace him. Everyone is a winner. Obviously that's if he's as good as he thinks, we'll have to wait and see.

He's praised this club, he's praised David Moyes and he's desperate to play here. That doesn't come along alot for Everton and we should sign him as soon as possible.

hear hear, we're not really in the position to be picky, and I appreciate his honesty.
bloody arsenal, seriously I hope we get him, I always figured this was our only concrete transfer, and without this.. bugger.

Being an amateur psychologist, and having studied the various mumblings from him for a while now, I suspect that this guy is not honest at all but says what he thinks will get him his own way. Also, there is a difference between saying true things, and using truths as a weapon to get what you want.

Think we should stay well clear of this player. Quite clearly just coming for money. Would rather sign no-one than a player like that

I think his agent is advicing him on the best way to secure a move, his opinion seems a bit bipolar not to have professional advice. The money thing doesnt really worry me, he grew up in Africa more likely then not in poverty or certainly at a standard of living below that we are used to in the western world. He says he wants to secure the future of his family by earning the optimum his talent will allow i dont realy have a problem with that. If he was saying he wanted to sign for Everton so he could have a garge full of ferraris i may have a different opinion.

As opposed to Thiago, who has already said he doesn't fancy a move back to England (but might be tempted by a lorryload of wonga)?

Give the lad a break....

he just want's to feed his family back home.
he only wants 1.2m a year...

Think he wants to feed them 5 star food in gold plates.
