Expecting a 22 year old CB to be the finished product is the biggest mystery in here for me.

First game of his season against two thirds of the Brazilian front three and 25 minutes against probably the most dynamic striker of the last decade and he's not Bobby Moore reincarnated.

Who does the Doctor treat FFS?

Doubt if you can train his turn and pace. He is 23 soon. Same as Michael Keane.

Which one of Douglas Costa and Neymar has he played against?

Oh Hai

Keane's 24... but can you really compare them? Keane has over 100 first team games under his belt and has played for 5 different clubs. Give Pennington a run of games and then judge him.

He has a chance tomorrow. I don't like what I see up to now. Hope I am wrong.

I want Everton to win games I will put Williams straight back in when he serves his ban.

You're not Ronald Koeman mate.

Of course but Koeman was forced to play him because the squad is paper thin. 3 senior CB is what you got.

This shows the club must buy one even two CB in the summer if Jags is let go. EL brings extra games.

And I bet Williams will be back as soon as he serves his ban.

That Michael Keane is as well.

People dont have a single clue what makes a good defender, they just see them making tackles on MOTD, but football isnt about dat.

The difference is Keane plays two PL seasons as starter and is playing for England.
