It's actually perfectly self explanatory but I'll just say before the summer you were a much more lighthearted poster from what I remember the ESK obviously did a number on you. Now your posts are filled with absolutes and your little diatribe just now was like a bad impersonation of Chico talking about fifa/fm players.

The previous "diatribe" you mention above is in response to an ongoing name-calling from the same poster that I have ignored/overlooked for over a year now really.
My posts are filled with "absolutes"? Yes. I'm "absolutely" entitled to view my opinions on average to poor footballers that I/we as a supporter base have had to witness at our club for over 20 years, without having to have keyboard warriors name call you for accepting dross more easily than me.
I haven't attacked any poster in here. I haven't cut down anyone for their opinions. I laugh at people that throw humourous banter at me, but am over the latitude that a select few in here are given because they are "old boys". How does that make me a non "lighthearted poster"?
Anyway, back on topic. How do you rate Mr Pennington then?

If Kenny wasn't suitable then id have played Mirallas at right wing back as he isn't afraid to 'bite' in a tackle and would offer an attacking threat.

Nice spin on "absolutes". No one is saying you're not entitled (god I hate that word) but to say "Garbage" as a summation of a footballer after one game this season is just a bit absolutely insane in my opinion.

...I think yesterday was an occasion where the manager and coaches felt it was time to give the lad his chance. Mori injured, they appear to have lost a little confidence in Holgate so they took a chance. As I said before the game, I had my doubts about Pennington but you don't really know until you play them. I think we found out.
I'm not writing the young lad off, many defenders have to learn their trade but sadly he looks some way off being a top flight player at this time.

Given that Koeman doesn't seem to tolerate a game where a player gets roasted in (see Holgate being bombed out for weeks after the Stoke game), don't think we will see Pennington again this season mate, and be surprised if we see him play for us again in all honesty.
Would have loved for the lad to have done brilliantly - but goal aside he was given one of the worst run arounds i've seen an everton player get and if he wasn't so young he would have been hiked off at half time at the latest (will give credit for Koeman realising how much damage it'd done to him and not doing that although ultimately it may have cost us in the match).
My biggest hope is that this doesn't colour his view on giving any other young lads a go, Kenny for me deserves to be given a shot - whether that is against United though is up for debate as the same thing could happen to him (although i doubt it as in my eyes he is a step above Pennington)
