💳 Payment Method. Never pay via direct bank transfer. This offers zero buyer protection - once the money is sent, it cannot be reversed and your bank is unlikely to refund any losses. Always research your payment method before using it. PayPal, for example, offers meaningful buyer protection and is strongly recommended over a bank transfer.

🤝 Where possible, arrange to meet face to face - ideally at an Everton match - and exchange tickets in person.

👤 Check Their Forum Profile Review the seller's forum history. Have they been a member for a long time, or did they register recently? Do other members speak positively of them? A long-standing, active member with good feedback is a much safer bet.

Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

To be honest mate I would get anything you can, if you can, if you are going Bournmouth the upper Bullens might be available as they wont take the full allocation

I am going to buy them on stubhud. Several options look available but just don't want to end up with a blocked view. Also, might have a few Spurs fans with me so not sure how people will respond to that.

Travelling over from Mayo Ireland for Saturdays game v Stoke with my Wife & 15 y o son. All Everton supporters . We have 2 tickets but are short 1. If anybody has a spare. I appreciate its a long shot. My cousin Tommy Ring played with Everton in 1960.

Hi guys,

Apologies that this is my first post here.

Lifelong Evertonian but, embarrassingly never managed to get to Goodison (always lived down south so it's been the odd away game in the home stand, friendlies etc). However I'm finally coming up for the Bournemouth game on Sep 23rd (talked my gf into a weekend in Liverpool to coincide with a home game, ;)).

I bought membership a few weeks back but I'm told that still wouldn't hugely increase my chances of getting tickets.

Doing pick-up via Stubhub - is it reliable? Never done it for gigs, it's always been e-tickets.

Its the stubhub fees that add up and make it expensive.

My seat in the Upper Gwladys is £46 face value vs Stoke. If I want £46 for it, I have to list it for £52.27 (£6.27 stubhub fee for listing)

It will then be on sale on StubHub for £52.27. When buyer purchases, StubHub then add a buyers fee which takes the amount to £62.92.

Heres how the transaction breaksdown:

Buyer pays £62.92 for the ticket- (facevalue + stubhub fees)
Seller receives £46 (face value for the ticket)
Stubhub receives £16.92 in commission.

Its a ripoff, the fees are very high

It's a Cat A game, Main Stand and Upper Bullens tickets are £48 face value, Park End is £49 face value. £50 on StubHub really isn't that excessive, it's just the cost of modern football unfortunately

Whenever I sell my Season Ticket I always try and shift it on privately, to cut out the middle man. But when I haven't been able to I've used Stubhub, so am aware of what the fees are. I personally don't think they are that excessive though. For the seller, it saves them the hassle of finding a buyer, and also the cost and risk of posting their season card out to strangers. For the buyer, it gives them the chance to obtain decent spec seats that they wouldn't normally be able to obtain (even if you've forked out £25 for an Official Membership, you're not guaranteed a seat, and if you do manage to get one it will likely be a restricted view). Stubhub also have their own operational overheads, they're a private company, not a charity.

Without wanting to turn this into a StubHub thread, I would also ask "why do you have to get £46 for your ticket?". That may be the 'face value' for it, but that's not what it's cost you is it. An adult Season Ticket in Upper Gwladys is £525 (I think), so it's cost you around £29 for a Cat A game. Every penny over £29 you make on the sale is profit to you. In fact if you were to receive face value (£46) after StubHub fees, then you'd actually make £17 profit. Which is more than the StubHub commission you're complaining about. So it's ok for you to make a profit, but not StubHub?

You could list your ticket for £33, buyer pays £39 (£7 UNDER face value), you get £29 and cover your costs, StubHub makes £10 for supplying the service. But people don't. Because in reality, we all like money.
