I got mine on the 30th. I kept checking to see if it said availability, but it just kept saying sold out. Then on the 30th it said availability, so I checked and there was around 30-40 tickets available. Strange, and I never meant Bs you never rang, I just meant the ticket office were talking bs.

Not necessarily. What they mean by resale is STHs listing their own seats and they'll be shown in purple on the map like below, and the resale function is not enabled for cup games. I'm guessing the ones you bought on 30th might have looked green on the map? This would've been due to club partners like Seatunique or Sportsbreaks releasing unsold tickets back to the club.
