Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

Couldn't find the correct thread for this, but anyone know about the new digital ticketing process? Apparently there won't be barcodes on the digital tickets anymore (when viewed in the app or your Google/apple wallet) this true?
Surely they'll not be removing the scanners at each turnstile?

The turnstiles work on NFC technology, like when you use your phone to pay for something at the till. If I open my season ticket in my Apple wallet it says “hold near reader”.
 
After 1 for Bournemouth preferably in gwladys as I've given my seat there to my dad , I'm a member if it makes things easier for the transfer
