If we can get him for the €15m reported on a 3 and a half year deal paying £4.2m off a year over the three years then in his last year move him on in the third year.

Then from a ffp perspective we will have spent relatively little but the money made from selling him (even if it's only £4m) would be total profit and help with stuff like ffp.

Where as now if we sold sigurdsson for £15m we would still be at a loss because we still owe about £25m on him which would reflect badly on us in a ffp perspective.

If it works out it's the right way to do players of his age.

Everton 'have contract waiting for Matias Vecino'

Everton are 'in advanced talks' with Inter Milan over a potential move for midfielder Matias Vecino, according to a report.

The Uruguay international continues to be linked with a move away from the San Siro, though, and according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Everton are locked in talks with Inter.

Schira claims that the Toffees have offered £12.7m for the midfielder, but the Serie A giants are looking for a figure in the region of £16.9m before sanctioning his departure.

Carlo Ancelotti's side allegedly already have a contract waiting for the South American, who represented Fiorentina for four years before completing a move to Inter in 2017.
