How are you on -1000 btw? lolHoward Kendall, Harry Catterick and the ginger God lol
I think that mods have unlimited rep capabilities. Must have been negged by one of them. How are you on -1000 btw? lol
I'm not interested in what he did elsewhere, just as I'm not interested in what Moyes did at Preston.I already have. Mauro Boselli and Ronnie Stam for £10m. Arouna Kone for £6m. I'm looking at the managers career here to see a track record - surely, given how horrified you are by people judging Martinez on one abject season after a net transfer spend available to him of £30m+, you can see the value of that?
For every positive he's done thus far - like Lukaku and McCarthy - there's a corresponding negative throughout his career - like Kone and McGeady. For us, that's £40m vs. £7m, so the losses aren't an issue yet, but for Wigan he blew money left right and centre.

Moyes is history and done.
It,s the present and the future which is the pressing concern one would think and bobby comments today have cast more doubt.
He said that he's not a stubborn manager. What did he say
He did a good job but had plenty of flaws meaning he wouldn't be loved. Big game bottler, never won a trophy, horrendous derby record etc.Why is Moyes not universally loved by Everton fans?
He defied the odds year after year and was exceptional in the transfer market - Man Utd then wanted him as manager which was an unbelievable complement. Yes the Baines / Fellaini transfer saga didn't go down well but surely people have longer memories than that
He always lacked a consistent top quality striker. Martinez brought one in on the 11th hour of deadline day - Lukaku - and his goals bolted on to the Moyes team delivered a Moyes+ season
Unfortunately Martinez does not have Moyes' acumen in the transfer market, and also started from a higher base than Moyes did, so expectations are higher
What has happened this season is a disaster - years of good work unravelling. Can only guess Kenwright hasn't acted due to lack of available alternatives
