...ok, I've been really critical of the inept coaching set up of the team this week. I am very concerned about the apparent lack of defensive organisation, a tendency to be tactically too clever and an almost stubborn resistance to listen to common sense. Saying all of that, I would stick with him.

Most top managers are on the brink at one stage, they go backwards before they go forward. RM might not be a top manager, the indication is that he isn't but change is also a risk so I still vote to keep him. It's a long shot but.....
How will he change it in the summer do you think when he is so lost now.

I can't understand those of us who are asking for support for Martinez. I don't think 13 wins in 41 games is good enough. I don't think performances like Alcarza turned in last week is good enough. I don't think players like Barkley, Coleman, Baines and Jags going backwards is good enough. I don't think considering Everton v QPR as a big game is good enough.
Asking me to get behind the manager next year and all will be well isn't realistic in my opinion.
Look at Martinez' record in Premiership management. Eddie Howe is being canvassed as a possible manager and there are people with reservations, I can understand that, he is not proven at the highest level. Martinez managed Wigan in relegation fight after relegation fight, he has had one good season and then back to the lower reaches of the Premiership. If we can't afford or attract a first class successful manager then Eddie Howe is worth a punt.

....I don't know, Matey, I really don't. There is no sign he will turn the corner, his transfer dealings haven't been great and he might have lost the players but I am reminded of Ferguson and Kendall when they were on the brink. It might be a lost cause but I like a long shot and I am sticking with him.

All that matters (at least to me) is what the overall season table says at the end of the season. obviously this season has been dreadful but I think we can still move up the table

We've been poor all season and got worse as it's gone on. I go off what has happened not what I dream of happening...

I respect your honesty mate.
For me though i have no faith whatsover he is so lost i worry for our future.
But one thing is for certain we will support our team no matter what

Your right i think reality and fantasy get confused.
If he can't sort us now i don't know what some people think he will do in the summer to sort it.
There is no magic wand and we have no divine right to be hitting top 6 every season

Howe spent almost two years at Burnley, but made little impact there. He returned abruptly to Bournemouth for personal reasons, leaving Burnley in 16th place in the Championship.

Burnley appointed Sean Dyche in his place. Would you consider him as a replacement, or do you regard him as another manager associated with a relegation fight?

That's a very excellent point. People would fume if we appointed Dyche.
