@Khalekan
I too wouldn't want to be branded as a "kopite" but I fear we are fast approaching if not already at the point whereby the fan base may/does need to make it's concerns heard/seen.
I think actually we are unified, unified in knowing that last season was garbage, this season has been largely garbage with one or two bright spots and that even an FA Cup should not be sufficient to see the manager remain in place.
People - well, one person for sure - will argue/suggest that to dispense with a trophy-winning manager would be an abhorent act... well, I'll stand to be corrected, but didn't Chelski sack Di Matteo after he guided them (whether in a caretaker capacity or not) to a CL title ?
There's such a thing as being cruel to be kind and if we do win the FA Cup then that would sit nicely on the CV of RM... while we thank him for his efforts and move him on in favour of a new manager and hopefully in a more positive direction
up the table.
Block....I will go one further.
I would sack him now because as things stand I can't even focus on the semi final as we have four league games in between now and then and for the life of me I don't see us winning one of them.
It is possible we will go to Wembley on the back of a seven game winless streak in the league......a six game winless streak in all competitions.
That is no preparation for Wembley, Block.....no preparation at all.
You saw it yesterday......you saw it agsinst Arsenal and West Ham.......heck, we even saw it at Villa when they reduced a three goal deficit to 1-3.
The minute the opposition score against us panic sets in.....even when we are two goals in front.
IMO this is the Norwich and Bournemouth and Stamford Bridge chickens coming home to roost.
Nothing erodes a player's confidence more than not winning games they should have won at a canter.
I will include City in the LC semi that as well......we were 3-1 up in that tie as it approached half time in the second leg.
Never in my long years as an Evertonian have I witnessed such doom and gloom at the club with the Twin Towers and glory looming on the horizon.
As I have said before, Billy Bingham was sacked a couple weeks before the Bolton LC semi final back in '77.
It worked.
A semi final on the horizon should have no bearing on Bobby's tenure at this time as we are in freefall in the league and there are four games before the big day.
Get him out now.....let Big Joe guide us through the rest of the season.
Flip......I have forgotten what prompted that rant now
Oh yes......but I still wouldn't want no steenkeen, Kopite banner
