Weird unrelated off topic post....

Ray Wilkins gave my parents some Italian curtains many years ago.

Cant you lot just get the white hankies out? Its a bit more classy? Or bring your own cushions?

lol mate it's the prem not la liga something has to be done Martinez is sending us all into depression. Well me for sure

I don't know if you are of an age to remember, shark, but we had a week from hell in 1971.....lost to the RS at OT in an F.A. Cup semi final on the Saturday then excited the European Cup at the quarter final stage on the following Wednesday.

:(

Me, @Dario Terracotta and @BlockHead have been haunted by that week ever since :(
Just a little before my time @Khalekan mate, but not by much! I think, off the top of my head, my worst week was the 1984 Milk Cup final and replay when Hansen palmed away Heath's effort to deny us in the first game then we lost the replay 3 days later.

I'm sure there are probably others that I've tried to forget and will come back to me but that one particularly sticks.

I'd better keep this on topic though so will add my support to the notion that a banner voicing discontent should be displayed at whatever point fans have had enough, regardless of whether it precedes a cup game. If Martinez is under the false impression he has the backing of the majority of supporters he needs to be aware of his error as soon as possible in order to do something to rectify it.

We're not guna hire unsworth because people on here want him. But maybe an interim manager is needed? I think itl be summer before a new manager is in but if it means doing it now and stopping the wrot it's needed mate.

Maybe you're right, i dunno. Just don't see any suitable candidates to be honest to come in until June. A new manager will stop the rot in pre-season and start afresh. I think we should let him have a crack at the FA Cup and until the end of the season.

People sometimes forget that we are playing (sometimes) the best football since the late 80's, and that Tim Howard was performing to levels unseen since Steve Simonsen and cost us 10-15 points himself this season; Baines and Jags were out for a lot of the season who (usually) bring more stability to our defence, etc. Besic being out of the second semi-final was a major blow also. Things have gone against us... however there is no excuse for the inconceivable late collapses again and again though! I also assumed being able to score goals was harder than being solid at the back, and that, if needed, any team could do an "Allardyce" and shut up shop for a few games or to kill a game. RM seems incapable and unwilling to do this, which is infuriating.

Anyway, I still reckon we keep him until the end of the season. He won the FA Cup with Wigan against Man City! We are street ahead of Wigan, and there is no-one close to the quality of Man City left in the cup.

People will only sadly speak up if the kopites are doing well. We only started with the Kenwright out banners once the shovels where in the ground at Analfield and our WHP plan's stalled.

The fans will only stand up if Klopp gets them flying next season whilst we stay midtable or god forbid a relegation scrap, sadly we should be hounding the clown out now.

I thought "Kopite behaviour" was about issuing ridiculous gushing praise for minor accomplishments, or parading around in half-and-half scarves, or suddenly remembering to sing as soon as the RS score, or yelling FIVE TIMES MATE at random to people walking down the street.

Voicing displeasure that probably 3/4 of all Evertonians share at this point is definitely not "Kopite behaviour." Any fans watching their club underperform expectations this badly should and hopefully would do the same.

Good argument and one, once you've removed all the sentimental feelings behind it, is difficult to argue against.

If you're willing to do it before the cup and the possible affect that may have on cup preparations, then why not show the feelings during it?

Maybe it's just the individual importance of that game (semi-final and at Wembley etc) that makes the idea so intolerable.

That's the thing for me mate, if there is a banner at Watford (I'm against a banner) then Martinez and the players become under immense pressure just before a cup semi.

I'm not ignoring the abysmal performances or results, but let's wait and see how the cup pans out, before we start with the protests. I am still hoping/expecting/waiting for a "Kevin Brock moment".

Wooly reminded me were in the banner thread....

If it was me, id have a Saint Pauli badge on a huge banner and list down GK/RB/CB/DM/CM/LW positions and a statement telling Martinez to sign top quality here or hes out the door.

Failing that i think banners are Kopite esque and would think of something more original....dare i say phenomenal.
Yeah, like a brick. Its more our style.

Why the Royle shouts from a few of you?

Hes not been our manager for 20 years...the game has moved on and how would he command fhe respect of the foreign lads who probably know of him but dont know him as a top manager?

Take out the 20 years part and you could be talking about Bobby
