I reckon the manic, inane stupidty and general abnormal levels of showbuisness insincerity prevalent at that press conference have opened some of the media's eyes to the reality of Kenwright.

For someone who is use to the spotlight he looked extremely uncomfortable yesterday, I thought Martinez was cringing as well and was embarrassed by the whole thing.
People are saying that its great to see a manager with ambition which is fine but Kenwright really put him on the spot by bringing it up.The fact is he has absolutely no chance of getting champions league football unless the people we refer to as the board finds some real investment or sell their shares at a realistic price.
There still seem to be a fair few on here who think Kenwright is Everton Football Club but the fact is he loves the limelight but has put less into the club than me and most of us on here who pay at the turnstiles.
He would still make a profit if he sold his shares for £25 million so if he loves the club why doesn't he?

I didn´t get that impression at all.

If anything I thought they both handled themselves well during that press conference. A bit of swagger from the chairman will do us a world of good this summer. Perception is reality remember.

Kenwright made my cringe so much in that conference. He knew the minutes and days it was since Moyes said he was leaving, he said it took longer for Martinez to his choice than it did for Moyes. I think he mentioned Moyes more times than Martinez. Not too mention the whole 'I'l get you in the CL' way to put on pressure, Martinez looked so uncomfortable when he said that.

A press conference is a chance to promote the club on a national scale so to suggest it doesn't matter what is said is nonsense,sure I don't like Kenwright but if people are happy with the way the club was portraid yesterday then maybe I should just give it all up,My arl fella would be turning in his grave watching what has become of the club he loved.

We all love the club mate. We don´t all share your hatred for Bill Kenwright however.

I want a change at the top for sure but I´m not going to go bat**** because I don´t agree with how Kenwright presents Martinez during a press conference. Didn´t he say that Martinez was an outstanding candidate, and that if 50 000 Evertonians would have been at the interview they´d seen it too? A vote of confidence if ever I heard one.

He also said 90% of Evertonians trusted him to make the right decision and that he had consulted the fans before making his decision.
He may have spoken to a few of his pals but he certainly has not canvassed the masses for there opinion.I don't expect him put it to a vote but does he really have to constantly tell us lies?
