If you look at the story behind this one it just looks made up, to me anyway.

He wants out of Stoke because they won't pay him £80k a week, so he's talking to us....who also won't pay him £80k a week.

I see flaws AOTS.

What concerns me is that he is a crap striker who had a good season playing on the left. Hardly makings of a good investment?

Isn't he the last year of his contract though? Might be worth a punt then if the price is low enough as an option.

Will be honest mate, never looked up the story so far, but yeah sounds a bit dodgy if what you say is what they are reporting.

He isn't a striker though?

He never even played striker for Werder Bremen, it was always on the wing.

And for what it's worth after a sporadic first season at Stoke he has been pretty much excellent for the last two seasons.
