Stoke lad on 606 was funny earlier - you're his mate Robbie, been round his house, what's he got on his mantlepiece? 17 years in management and won fk all is what.

Think Hughes is actually decent but needed some luck earlier in his career to win something and progress - guess you could say he had his opportunity arriving at City when he did, but needed a few signings to catch fire early doors. Instead he got Robinho. Gets to a certain stage, though, where you've won nowt forever then chairmen are just going to look at the younger generation for managerial appointments.

Not sure who was more crackers? Walter Smith thinking a 36year old veteran could transform our fortunes or the player himself thinking he could still cut it in Premiership for a team he saw below his ability. Like the oddest of arrangements, it didn't last long. Not sure why?

Propelled Man City to new heights given his standing in the game will be his claim to fame because I can't see any other Premiership club continuing his personal gravy train. My memory of him? He was hopeless at Everton.

Probably the lost justified sacking in the top flight tbh, his record over the last two years there is woeful. My mates who support them want Rowett.
