the excitement and subsequent disappointment with the Zaha saga was more than compensated for by the terror and subsequent relief of the Rojo saga.
He doesn't play over either of them though does he Steve?
I'll give most lads a chance, but if we whack £25 million on a 29 year old like Rojo it's hard to conclude it is sensible business. If it's a loan deal, it is probably quite a smart bit of business. It gives the club a years breathing space.
United got greedy. They could have got their 5th choice centre half off their books for a year, but will now pay him 80k a week to not even make match day squads. As it is I don’t think rojo is of the calibre we need to take United’s place in the top 6.It was only ever going to be a loan.....it was United who wanted a permanent deal...that's why it fell through.
True, but I'd honestly rather play holgate than rojosPeople saying bullet dodged etc. but if we haven’t got a half decent central defender coming in by 7pm then we’re running a big risk with just Mina and Keane.
I don’t mind Holgate but I’m not sure he’s good enough.True, but I'd honestly rather play holgate than rojos
Like I said, I wasn't going to worry until transfer confirmed by club.its his wages and contract length that you need to be worrying about
How much did they want, whatever it was I am glad we avoided a fee for him.
I have my faith restored in Brands due to the back up plan of Iwobi and his refusal to pay money for a permanent signing of Rojo.
Supposedly £25m mate, £25m for a player who has only played 14 prem games in the last 2 seasons for them, he actually only played 5 prem games last season and 3 of them were as a sub.
