To be fair I didn't think Williams was a terrible signing at the time. It wasn't a stunning signing by any means and he came in and had a solid enough first season before it went badly wrong.

At least he was playing games rather than permanently injured.

So we're thick because we're not happy we're signing someone who can't even get into a bang average UTD team and is their 6th choice, yet he's somehow magically going to be an amazing signing for us ?

Who ever said he was going to be an amazing signing for us. Nobody did. He's back up and probably fourth choice here,and is a relatively cheap option who Silva knows from past experience. I know its only your 'opinion' and youre entitled to it, but personally I'm quite prepared to wait and see how he performs if he gets a chance
