Transfer Rumour Marcos Rojo

Apparently we're 'leading the race' to sign him...what race would that be? lol

If he could stay fit it wouldn't be a dreadful signing. £30m for half a player isn't great business.

Rojo played 12 games last year mate so maybe not a great signing based on the metrics you yourself have decided to use.
For different reasons Rojo was injured until near Christmas last year, big difference in not playing because you're injured and not playing because you're [Poor language removed]. If there is a concern about Rojo then it's injuries.

The worst that can happen is that we would be ever so slightly less rubbish but still rubbish and will have paid a large amount to get to that point.

I am not for or against Rojo currently but we do need to be wary of this "better than what we have got" stuff as that still doesn't automatically mean they are any good.

I want my signings to be good regardless, not good in comparison to other levels of crapness.
Agreed but we need to be of rational mind set. We can't just jump levels of quality of player. People use the Robinho example but back then, City were throwing money around that no-one else had. Now everyone has money. We don't have European football nor even a working identity.
The only way we can improve is with steady improvement. Rojo is an improvement so it's a step in the right direction, albeit a small one. Lots of small steps and we'll be back in Europe (7th) and we can then start to attract the next level of quality.I certainly don't mean to appear rude but it sounds like we all need a reality check as to where we are right now. A team that had 3 managers in a season, one of which was Sam Allardyce, and finished below Burnley.

The Europa League wont attract anybody, nobody gives a toss about it as there is no money involved.

Lets face it, it doesn't matter what we do, we will end up in roughly the same place no matter how we sign or how bad/good we are as modern football is rubbish.

Hes a massive horrible snide.

I like that. Sign him up. (At the right price obvs)

Jags and Keane are too passive.
Looks like he wouldn’t have an issue with breaking into your house and murdering your family.

We lack that in a defender imo.

The lad cant defend but he likes elbowing people and 2 footed lunges (which he would never get away with if he come here) so lets sign him up. Extra £££ if he dislocates Salah's shoulder again.
