2019/20 Marco Silva

Silva has been stubborn picking a Centre forward who would 9 times out of 10 miss a relatively easy chance. At this stage we need to take chances to turn losses into wins. He’ll die on his sword with that useless Lewin.

Brands gets lorded on here. He’s failed with a Centre back replacement and should have brought in a seasoned forward alongside kean.

Rudi Garcia won the double in 2011, 8 years ago; nothing since
Erik Ten Haag has won the double in a tinpot league that frank de boer managed to dominate
Mancini is now the Italy manager and doesn’t play the football that would gel with Brands
Mourinho is just a massive NO

Good job I aint paid hundreds of thousands like Brands is to recruit the manager.

You happy to continue down this road of appointing midtable managers based on a few good results at clubs like Watford?

Im not suggesting we could attract a world class manager - but surely the likes of Mancini, Erik Ten Hag, Rudi Garcia maybe even Mourinho who's stock has fallen.

Someone better than a bloke who's only achievement is winning the Greek League and relegating Hull.
Literally the only poor job he's done was at Watford, although he had them at the highest point in the league they've ever had I think, so there's that. Hull would've had him back in a heartbeat, but they signed a short term deal. So in terms of his career, he was a borderline miracle worker at Estoril, solid work at Sporting CP, amazing work at Olympiakos, good work at Hull, and decent work at Watford at best.

But Erik Ten Hag was great this past year, but hadn't won a thing prior. He's also not really off to a rousing start this season, so let's see how he does.

Was Rudi Garcia great at Roma or Marseille?

Mourinho is an amazing manager, but he would cost a fortune and not sure he'd come here. Also not sure he's the right guy to rebuild a club, which is what Brands is doing.

Ten Haag is not in the same basket as the other dutch managers who have ruined dutch football..not yet anyway.
If he can get Ajax playing the same way over the next couple of seasons, as last season, without De Jong and De Ligt then he's on to something
and maybe then something Everton could consider.
The football Ajax played last season was an absolute joy to watch and hard to find anywhere else.

He still relegated Hull when he had a chance to get them safe - he done well when the pressure was off but as soon as escape looked a possibility they capitulated in easy fixtures (sound familiar).

I would also say just because Hull would be happy keeping a manager isn't exactly a glowing endorsement.

Estoril and Olympkios were in farmer leagues so im not going to even take into account their performances.

For me you either target someone who has won trophies in proper leagues or someone who has done well in Europe with their team ie. Getting to European semi's/finals.

But they’re a world class brand, we’re not. We simply cannot attract someone like klopp who was one of the most sort after managers in the world with the exception of Pep

It’s reality, we haven’t won a pot in 24 years. We are no different from the majority of mid table teams. We have history, but so do Leeds, villa, Forest etc etc

I'm not sure if Favre is out of our league but he might want to join the premiership next season.

I've just seen enough of him at Hull, Watford and us so far to tell you he aint the right man to take us forward.

But you moan about him if we win, lose or draw. Just wait and see, maybe get behind him and actually want him to do well at us.

Just comes across like you're waiting for us to lose or cock up so you can log in here and go on one straight away
