Another angle on it is: if the board is considering removing Silva, who is likely to be on their longlist? And who is on the supporters' longlist? Because I think if names get said enough by the supporters, maybe the board would have a look at those names. But if the supporters don't have any names they can suggest the board will either not remove Silva or it will install someone that maybe the supporters wouldn't want. Again. Maybe that is why it is important to have a discussion about who would replace Silva were he to go. Just going on about Silva going doesn't give any solutions to the problem.

Maybe it's really about a better defensive coach/or coaches being brought in and Silva getting more educated about that aspect of the game? Or better defensive players at the back and midfield?
They are not taking advice or guidance from what the supporters think or want, as much as we’d like to think so.

I’ve said it before, he has labelled it a must win, so what does he do if we don’t? Resign? Of course not, it’s just another crap sound bite.

He should’ve been sacked the first Monday after Burnley, if we lose tomorrow the board are under big pressure for not acting.

I can’t believe how nervous I am about playing West Ham at home.

Thank the lord the board don't just listen to whims of fans. You were all singing Silva's praises back end of last season.

Yes, this season has been awful so far but we also can't keep sacking managers. If we do sack Silva, who do we bring in? We need some consistency for a while and to finally let someone try and build something. Moyes had enough time didn't he? We lost a couple of key players in the summer and we are still trying to switch the squad around from the previous management teams.

Silva will get sacked the moment the board are aware of problems in the dressing room. Koeman wasn't sacked because of his poor start to the season, he was sacked because he was no longer taking training sessions or talking to players and it became a situation were it was clear he couldn't/wouldn't turn it around.

Silva had the team performing well enough last season to warrant a bit of time. Yes the set pieces issue is worrying but is also something which can be addressed.

We need to get out of this reactive way of working and start actually building something

Strong debating skills.

Three winnable fixtures coming up. Could be back in the top half and in the quarter final of a cup after them...
I think there are actually 6 winnable ones coming up (yes, including home v Spurs) before the Derby.

Away LC isn’t easy but we still have a better side (mostly) down to a man. Anyway, we should be earning 12-14 of the available points at minimum. We won’t, but we should.

He is still very boring and monotone during this press conference but he has shown a few pieces of enthusiasm sparingly which is rare!
