That is an unlikely worst case scenario. There’s absolutely no reason that the constraints within which Mourinho (or any manager) had to operate within couldn’t be made obvious them prior to signing.

Agreed it's unlikely, just making the point that it's actually easy to conceive of ways in which things could be worse.

Agree also the constraints can and should be mad enough apparent to any new manager. Whether it would stop Mourinho from agitating from within to move things in his favour is questiona, as liklihood of him signing under the likely constraints.
