It's 48 hours now since the story broke about Silva currently being Everton's No 1 target.......has anyone read or heard Silva saying he does NOT want the job?
But when does a manager ever do that? Realistically managers only ever talk in press conferences and before/after a game. It would be pretty odd for Silva to come out and say anything about your interest considering neither ourselves or EFC have said anything official. So far there are no facts to this story, just heavy rumours. The two heaviest being that you have made an approach and that we have unequivocally said no chance. Fans of both clubs can read between the lines of that to suit their own agenda! Seems most of you are holding on to the line of it only being a matter of time given similar instances in the past. Whilst most of us are choosing to believe/hope that when our board says no, it means no as has always been the case with our owners in the past.
One thing I can assure EFC fans unfamiliar with our (WFC) owners - they are ruthless. But extremely strong businessmen - second maybe only to Levy I’d say. You may want him, he may want to leave. But it won’t be nearly as easy as that with our owners. I can safely say you are in for some hellish negotiations if this is to work in your favour!
