He made three changes from the derby for Newcastle, with Lookman, Zouma and Tosun coming in. He reverted back to the 'strongest side' (the one that started in the derby) for Watford, and we played well in the first half. We didn't take the chances we created for a second goal and the put in a poor display in the second half and rightly didn't win.
City he switched the system up but without a Gana/a midfield hassler, we didn't really have the personnel to suit (and we looked better when Davies came on in that role at the end).

I think its fair to say everyone of us wants Everton and Silva to do well and the win today atleast gives us all a boost over Xmas.
Regardless of the result today I still think Silva isn't good enough and even a shock win doesn't convince me of that - a side with Gomes, Richarlison, Digne, Mina, Keane, Pickford, Walcott, Gana and Siggurdsson shouldn't be anywhere near 11th and if Utd were at normal levels we would be absolutely miles off the top 6 which for me isn't progress.
I worry about the future of our club when we are spending massive amounts of money and it gets wasted by managers not upto the task such as Koeman and Silva.
Imagine where we would be had Mosh made Emery, Tuchel, Mancini, Nagellsman or the like the 10th highest paid manager in world football instead of Koeman...

It would not read well if he couldn't lead us to a big win at least once this season. There has to be some promise and something we can look to build on.
We have enough decent players to do it at home. But as always, my concern is that we are extremely brittle and it doesn't take much to unsettle us.
I'm confident he'll deliver but the longer we leave it, the harder it gets, and I think we see more and more evidence of that with each passing game against big six sides. We have made progress but quite simply its time not merely to turn up but to win, however it is achieved.

None of those managers was realistically attainable to a mid table nearly quarter of a century trophyless club. There was one exception. The timing was perfect and it's the only instance in my lifetime where a proven winner good enough for clubs like Real Madrid was attainable as manager of Everton, before pension age, but most of the fan base would have wet the bed if Moshiri had appointed Rafael.
So here we are, having squandered a fortune on terrible recruitment, taking a punt on someone we all hope will be the next Poch. The recruitment and style of play have clearly improved. We have to be patient and hope the results eventually follow suit.

How do you know those managers were not realistically attainable?
Did we approach them?
Did they tell you?
If the answer is no mate then in respect your just assuming that.
If assuming those things makes you feel any better then fair enough but lets look at the facts of Kenwright/Mosh:
Appointed flavour of the month Martinez from Wigan after winning the FA Cup
Appointed flavour of the month Koeman after a decent season at Saints
Appointed flavour of the month Silva after a decent 10 games at Watford.
More than likely our ownership dont look at managers any further past their noses.
If penniless Newcastle can attract Champions League winning Benitez and West Ham can attract league title winning Pellegrini, or relegation battling Southampton attract Hussenhuttl who built a quality side at Leipzig and had them near Bunderliga Champions then do you really think a top 7 Prem side couldn't attract someone like Mancini or Nagellsman on the 10th highest managerial wage in the world and a top 6 transfer budget?
Pull the other one how do you think Chelsea and Man City attracted their managers before they became established in the elite?
Its exactly this sort of "WOAH Everton COULD NEVER ATTRACT ANYONE HALF DECENT" thinking that has held us back as a club for yonks.
