Why are people worried about relegation? We had one of the most spiritless, gutless, spineless Everton teams of the last 20 year's and still finished 8th. The premier league is a terrible league below the top 6, it'll be another midtable snoozefest for us until the manager can gut this squad.

The concern is that we're both worse because we're even less compact under Silva, and that the opposition - even bad opposition - have figured out how to put us to the sword.

I think it's a long shot that we'll go down but the whole club is rotten to the core and 33/1 odds on us going down is probably worth a few quid as a reasonable gamble.

I do agree with all this, except Sam had that infamous tactic of boring the opposition to death to secure us some points. It remains to be seen of Silva has that in him if the game isn't going our way.

we only finished 8th because we binned Koeman.

With the current crop we have anything in the top 10 i’d be happy enough with this season.

Hopefully by this time next year Silva will have gotten rid of most of the deadwood and gotten together a more energetic, mobile squad.

Hopefully the addition of Digne, a new Cb and CM will help resolve those issues. If we don't address them issues then it'll be a long season, but still think the squad possesses enough ability to sit mid table.

Bad signs from this guy already, lets face it no one actually wanted him here, apart from our owner who brought him in on a whim. GIve it 3 games before questions are asked about his inability to grind out results, maybe another 5 after that before action is taken.

I’d sack him now mate , saves wasting those 5 games

You're the most miserable person I've ever encountered.

Bet you're the kind of guy that moans we don't get a summer then when we do moans it's too hot.
