They’re warming up for a defeat tomorrow, just so they can all say they were right on the internets.

Their silence if we win will be deafening again.

Viva la Silva.

Who is Their?

Was under the impression that this was a forum were people can voice opinions. Didnt know it was an us and them forum. Apologies, will try and only say what is acceptable in the future.

Nah, feck that. :)

Everything is fine and dandy then. Happy days r us and all that.

Not really.

I personally have major doubts that this fella is the 1, seriously major doubts.

But with my desire for stability overriding everything I see no reason why we shouldnt give him another few months next season.

The club is in transition, we have lots of players not fit for purpose, so im hopeful that Brands can improve us slightly.

This fella sets the team up to win, it of course doesnt always work but he plays football how we want it played, so as I say, why not give him another few months next season? 2 things will happen, he will revert to type, have patchy results all over the show and massively underwhelm or we improve as a team on the pitch, results improve and we can kick on.

The other option is that we roll the dice again with another Marco Silva, we then have another season of a new manager trying to implement his ways and 12 months from now we are comparing our new managers stats to another Marcos.

Sam wasn’t up to snuff either obviously, but he got results. Silva is looking a bit like Roberto atm. We could very easily have been top 4 in the first half of the season had we dealt with set pieces and avoided silly mistakes.

The way we surrendered a 2-0 lead to Newcastle is another example of the struggles. You can have all the stats in the world, but you have to grind out results. Silva has been very disappointing in that regard.
Mate Sam had similar disappointing results mate. Its not like all his games were good groundout results, there were some shockers in there too. Arsenal 5-1 and Bournemouth 2-1 spring to mind. Sam's a myth.

Not mention the fact we went about four games without a shot on target at one point. When Kenny finally broke that with a speculative effort at Goodison the whole ground stood up and cheered ironically.

Oh and the complete contempt in which he held supporters and the club. The man is a black mark on the history of Everton Football Club. Finishing 8th because of a new manager bounce in December doesn't mean all that gets a pass.

Sam was given the team midyear without any chance to build an identity or bring in his players. Silva had a full offseason with money to spend and hasn’t done any better.

And like I said before, Sam wasn’t up to snuff either. Both haven’t been good enough.

I agree with this. We can’t keep chopping managers if we hope for stability. It’s just crazy how one result has changed everyone’s mind though. I need to see a bit more till the end of the season. Chelsea wasn’t the most convincing win at home either as we were very lucky not to be down in the 1st half. I’ll take it as a possible turning point. Hopefully

Well I think I wanted rid after Newcastle, so never underestimate the fickleness of fans!

From my POV I asked for something to cling to over the last 10 games or so, a win against a Chelsea side that should have scored 5 in the first half will do me, im very easily bought. We have only managed 2 back to back wins only once so far this season tho, so I suspect the vote might change a little over the next day or so.

I’m ambivalent. I question whether we could bring anyone in that will do a better job. I don’t think he will get us anywhere though. Just more of the same crap really

I agree with the anyone better comment, as I said its just another roll of a dice, we probably need to keep rolling until we get somebody able to smash the 7th place trophy every season then we can start looking higher.

I have my doubts, but theres a small chance this fella could do it. I mean if he doesnt, so what, its not like we are anything but a nothing club, whats another season wasted yano. I mean if people are terminally ill I understand the rush like.
