Here’s a thought to ponder on before you hit the hay.

Targeting 2 different managers with different philosophies might not be as bonkers as most think.

In this particular scenario (joint bottom) the priority is staying up, not the philosophy

EITHER option offer us a chance of survival via 2 different approaches/ methods

That might be their reasoning…We’ve got two candidates that might keep us up.

Doesn’t matter how that’s achieved but EITHER could potentially offer us that.

They would just go about in different ways.

More then one way to skin a cat…
Their reasoning? You pay too much respect.

Fair point and Arteta has done very well but the job at Arsenal is very different to this job with more stability and many more funds. I'd say he would be very lucky to get the time and support to do as well here.
I remember at the time I thought Arsenal were stupid for not going for Carlo. He seemed like the sane adult with winning credibility that they needed at the time. I also wanted us to get Arteta and I thought we got it backwards with them. I was thrilled with Carlo of course, but it felt off in terms of the trajectory of the clubs.

But it’s impossible to know what might have been, an Arteta type might not last here with our instability. I’m still a bit shocked that he stuck around there, fair play to them for sticking with it. They have the funds and safety to do so, though.

Looks like our good friend Alastair Usmanolas will have to the laptop out for zoom

It's pretty obvious -

Mosh wants Bielsa

Bill wants Dyche

DBB ( Is Literally Tied up )

So we just need to bring In someone Impartial - And hand them a coin to flick.

Arteta has had tons of money to spend and the fans wanted him out as recently as the summer when they jellied top four, like.

Appointing Ancelotti ultimately became a mistake because of the money we spent on the gamble.

But the real big mistake wasn't that one. It was the one that came after he left.

They’ve spent tons mate, it never gets the press it should.

Personally, I prefer Bielsa because of his brand on football and his ambition to have more power and say on players contract and transfer. But I know it's unrealistic. On the pitch/training, our players probably won't be able to handle Bielsa session or tactics so soon. If Bielsa is uncompromising, we will definitely go down.

Realistically, Dyche understands the pressure and won't shy away from a challenge. But I think he would be another coach with signings shoved to his team. Having said that, we are only few days away from deadline day and I doubt we will sign anyone - so the team requires a very tactical coach who is flexible and able to organise a defense. With the current crop of players, Dyche is actually our best chance to survive - although it is not guaranteed.
