I do think the DOF can work but not when you sign a bum who has always left his managers short of players, remember PSV fans saying it but lucky their league is ale house.

He also hasn’t been able to shift the doss we have in 3 summers.

He’s just out of his depth and it’s so clear to see.

We bring in his replacement now, he can work out what’s going on and help Carlo sign pace and power and use January to our advantage and maybe just maybe salvage a season that looks like it’s fallen off a cliff after 8 games

You can't sell a crap player unless there is a mug who will take them, and our squad is littered with aging dross, mostly from prior to brands time with us.

Kean was different - he pushed for the move and has the quality to have suitors - Im sure both Carlo and brands didn't want him to go, hence the loan with no perm transfer option.

Brands ain't the problem, he's part of the solution FFS.

Because at the start of the season we had 2 fit centrebacks and only three senior centrebacks in the squad. Absolute no brainier to sign a fourth.

You know how it works. Successful player = Ancelotti bought, if it doesn't work it's Brands fault. This does take the award for the quickest about turn I have seen though.

The scariest thing is the pack are turning on Carlo now, so god knows who is going to be awarded the credit soon. This is why we don't deserve nice things.

TBH I have no faith in the DoF role. Just look at the no marks it attracts: usually people with no idea of top level performance and what it takes to make it at a top club. Brands underlines that.

What on earth is this? Yeah would be boss watching him spend big money on a striker who is the polar opposite of what you need to fill a role (Beattie) or a defender who he has evidently never seen play (Kroldrup).

I thought you were thinking of Delph!

Allan has been good for us so far, he's a class above what we had. I'm just not sure he's playing in the right role for his skillset (but that's kind of on Carlo). However, we don't have any other sitter so if we are to play 4-3-3, someone's gonna have to play in that 6 role.

Agreed - it's mad.

Carlo and brands need several more transfer windows to sort us out.

On Carlo, I get some if the frustration, as I just wish he would try something different as a plan b, when we have a few of the first 11 missing - I can't understand his continued trust in siggy or Delph.

But some of the garbage spouted on the Carlo thread beggars belief, a lot like this one!

Moyes signings were largely excellent. Odd to imply otherwise.
